Since this thread has been going on for over four years, kicking it out would be more appropriate.

Swisscom terminology differentiates between funny genres:

    - Comedies (films like “Some Like It Hot.”)

    - Comedy series (long-running favorites like “Fascht e Familie”)

    - Comedy programs (entertainment such as stand-up, cabaret and the “Arosa Humor Festival”)

That’s now also “snow of the past” - now there is only the “Comedy” group and there are also film comedies in it

  • @RolandMe You write the “metadata provider is being reminded”, how many reminders has he already received, or how many more does he need before something really happens? One thing is clear: the quality of the metadata has been more than poor for several years now.

Blue TV customers not only expect beautiful pictures, but also beautiful and correct information, actors and descriptions of the content.

Thank you very much for the tip.

In fact, the canceled departure from Breaver Creek in the Bernese Oberland will be rescheduled tomorrow.
We will inform the data provider about this exceptional situation.

Incidentally, the program information is already correct when ORF1 is broadcast at the same time.

Maybe the EPG supplier has Austrian customers as its main focus 🙂

    • @RolandMe The NHL games that mySports shows are no longer visible in the mySports tape. Is this because certain NHL broadcasts have now been outsourced to the “mySports Edge Sport” channel?

Therefore, in the future, please also show the live NHL and DEL games that are running on “mySports Edge Sport” in the mySports band (in the TV and sports menu).

    • @RolandMe Thanks for the detailed information.

A little late, what I observed last Thursday:

The DEL game was shown on time, so the right stream seems to be there now.

But in terms of quality, it was terrible. But it’s not Swisscom’s fault, because it was clear that the quality of the advertising was good. The live game was quite jerky, so it was impossible to follow an ice hockey game like this.

The EPG is now at least as it should be 😉 Thanks to everyone who got involved 😉

Let’s hope mySport now does its job so that you can actually watch a game with a smooth picture. I already informed them…

And why on MySport Edge of all places?

On the MySports website under Partner it says that the DEL games should run on MySports Edge.

That’s exactly how it is. For this Thursday, September 29th, 2022, for example, the game DEG - Iserlohn Roosters is listed on MySports from 7:25 p.m. - 10:05 p.m.
The game DEG-v Iserlohn Roosters is also listed on Sky.ch.
Swisscom has something completely different in the EPG.

I’m not interested in the DEL, but I’ll take a look at Sky.ch on Thursday. Whether something else is going on again. If so, you would probably have to pass the puck to MySports as to why their own EPG is wrong.

In fact, the worm crawled in here in several places. We are therefore very grateful for the information.

      1. Sunrise/MySports sent the wrong broadcast signal to the world without hockey. So also to Swisscom.

      2. Sunrise/MySports informed customers correctly in the EPG - with the DEL in the program.

      3. Swisscom has published the EPG data for the German version of EDGE - without ice hockey.

Point 1 should be fixed. You’ll see hockey tonight.

Point 2 has always been correct. However, the picture broadcast did not match the TV Guide.

We are now working hard on point 3 to ensure that this is still true in the evening.

In any case, many thanks to all those who provided information. Staying with the picture with the puck, there were a few mistakes from both teams.

and I have to admit, I had to google what IBES means. I thought this was a new television technology, a further development of OTT in the competition, and that’s why you’re blushing when you’re looking over the garden haze.

But I was miles wrong, so to speak, Australia-wise wrong.

    • @Seteinni35 With the change of metadata provider, Swisscom no longer has this information.

The new provider allows multiple genres per show. Swisscom would like to limit this to one name. This is partly tricky, partly simply wrong.

But we are working on a solution.

How are you moving forward with a solution regarding the genres? Last night, Alice in Santa Claus was marked as a romance/romance film. Did you decide on several genres (I think that’s good) or is this considered one genre?

Will the search take all genres into account or just the ones displayed? In the thriller genre there are, for example, action-heavy ones (which usually bore me), psychological ones, dramas and sometimes even funny ones.

      Then another question:

With BlueTV as an app, birth dates are now included again.

Does this come from the provider or do you link data sources? If this is still in development: I think it would be great if “approximate age during filming” were also calculated.

When will age become visible again on the box?

Are there plans to integrate this information via voice control?

    • @RolandMe like me in [this thread](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Nutzung-mit-TV-App-Web/Wieso-sind-nicht-Infos-%C3%BCber -actor-more-verf%C3%BCgbar/td-p/606932) the birth dates are now available again (well hidden) in the Android app.

The data delivery therefore appears to be there. When will these also be found on the TV box?

In last week’s update (the one with the rounded app icons) I can’t find it yet.

      • @Wololleck22 The actor information is no longer available since the switch to a new data provider. You can find Swisscom’s justification in the following link, post 129 by @RolandMe:

      • @Anastasie hello,

thank you for the comments always welcome 😀

here is some information on the new features expected for metadata, TV-Guide, EPG,…

they are taken from message 129 of @RolandMe Swisscom of 15.10.2021 on the Community in German

blue TV verbs serve the Programmdaten – Page 7 | Swisscom Community

Google translation: sorry no better for French speakers 😁

        "…

The community is concerned about the change of provider - and it will also keep Swisscom busy. Many questions and ambiguities have already accumulated.

        Actors’ biographies

*These will not come back. The old provider offered a biography in 4 languages for around 10,000 contributors. Still based on information from Wikipedia. This information was static, for example not added in the event of death. The pictures - also from Wikipedia - were often not suitable for the TV guide: for example, pictures of the red carpet with the stars on the side. Or even a tombstone, as has already been criticized here in the forum. The texts were also different. Along with Horst Tappert, all his soldier positions during the Second World War were mentioned. In the case of Hollywood stars, all their marriages (failed). Etc. In addition, the graphic representation was no longer adapted to the most recent menu.

        • The new provider offers much more and better images from contributors. Several 100,000 heads are now displayed. We are also working to get at least date de naissance displayed again.
*The new provider also offers this data. And you can always find all the programs and videos with contributors you are interested in on one clearly laid out page. This is the main reason why these information pages were included at the time.

        Crime scene without sequence number

        • It will remain like this. Unlike the old provider, the new provider no longer provides the episode number for series that are not very precisely based on a linear plot. Just the title. The detective series will be treated in the same way as Rosamunde Pilcher’s romantic films and other similar film series. This means that the “next episode” display is not displayed in these lines behind the option key. Binge-watching multiple episodes at once is also not the norm at the crime scene. If you want to know the episode number, you can search for it on Google via the episode title.

        Crime scene in Switzerland

*Country codes have been shortened to two characters. The USA became US, the CHE became CH. The problem with the new supplier is that it correctly supplies three countries of origin with Tatort. With Switzerland in the lead ahead of Germany and Austria. The restriction to a single country is going badly here. Especially since Germany does not come first. A solution is being developed with the supplier.

        Bad kinds

        • The numerous adventure series that appeared a few weeks ago, particularly with funny series, were a twist in the system. This has now been resolved.
        • Documentation and infotainment genres are currently represented more often than necessary. The genre names of the new provider still need to be refined based on Swisscom’s well-known genres. We are working on a solution.

        Renew the series programming

        • Unfortunately, this could not be avoided. This is why he was warned against it. Most of the series programming continued without any problems. A fraction of the programs which were only active serially for a few dozen clients could not be taken into account in the complex switch. Any new series programming after the change of supplier should work without problems.

The band with the beginnings of the season and the new series

        • This group was only active on the web at tv.blue.ch. The boxes hadn’t displayed this strip in a long time. The new provider does not offer this content information separately for use in a volume.

        Archived series will resume

        • With series programming, cooler charisma is always taken into account in the recordings. The “old” recordings are, so to speak, “overwritten”.

        … "

Looking forward to all of this being functional soon 😀
