Regarding Youtube videos, here are some examples:

The second video when you put “les enfoirĂ©s” as the search term (all in lowercase therefore.)

The first video when you search for “beach boys” and the second and the third and the fourth and the fifth! The sixth finally works!

And strangely, by typing exactly the same search terms on Youtube on my Mac, I don’t have the same search results so it’s impossible to post the URLs to you, the Da Vinci doesn’t display them.

Additionally I have since spotted another bug. Google Adds are now displayed on Youtube videos. And if we touch the link, well given the absence of a web browser, the Da Vinci doesn’t feel very good and it crashes (this has already happened to me 5 times out of 20 tests so not every time but still) . And at this point, the only solution is to unplug and reconnect the device electrically.

Regarding system reboots. Yes of course, they are done when the device is on standby.

But the device also displays its standby screen when the radio application is running! And after restarting, the Da Vinci does not automatically restart the radio
 It’s not super annoying but there must be a way to prevent restarts when an application is running, right?

And please tell me. Is there a project to port Swisscom TV Air to the Da Vinci or not?

Because honestly that would be the best!

Being able to watch France 24 or BFM in the morning directly after checking the weather and the news of the day would be great!

Otherwise, I disagree with the previous comment. The Da Vinci is not just an improved landline phone!

It’s more of a kind of restricted tablet, on the contrary! The guy has it in his stomach!

In any case, since purchasing it, I have never had to regret the 300.- it cost me! This is a great product full of potential! Let’s just hope that Swisscom Labs devotes the time it deserves to it and that they give us an update very quickly that will silence all the bad tongues! 😉

PS: A mail application for Bluewin mail would also be really welcome (in imap if possible)

            It is indeed an OS proprietary to Open Peak.

            On the open peak “Frame” there is a store with lots of applications that you can add. The Da Vinci being an Open Peak terminal, we can imagine that we can run these applications on our phone too!

            And there really is everything!

            Swisscom did really well to focus on this product but on the other hand, in terms of communication and support, they are really not great! Which is not like them anyway!

                It is indeed a proprietary OS, I can confirm that again.

                Concerning the Openpeak Store, it is not available for the Da Vinci. For Swisscom what matters most is the telephony experience.

                The Da Vinci accesses Youtube content via Openpeak (in the USA). In this case, it may happen that access to certain Youtube videos is restricted in the USA due to copyright, for example. It is therefore normal that from a computer connected in Switzerland, these are freely accessible. Unfortunately, there is no improvement possible.

                In addition, I have since spotted another bug. Google Adds are now displayed on Youtube videos.                 Google Add’s returns a link via an Internet browser. Since Da Vinci does not have an Internet browser, this poses a problem. The manufacturer has been informed so that it can find a solution to this malfunction.

                  3.8.2011 9:43 p.m. poor quality, see sound cut-off for the customer at Sunrise landline and the same with GSM telephone which is unacceptable, in 10 years never had anything like this in Swisscom telephony!

                  my last 2 contacts have no problems with their other GSM or landline copper correspondents!

                  suffice to say, not happy at all, especially for the cost of the device and the electricity consumption.

                  no wireless network, web or swisscomTV activity at this time,

                  only the Da Vinci DECT voip IP layer

                  it is therefore not a question of saturation but of an anomaly, either temporary or bug, either at swisscom or in the swisscom centro grande blanc fiber router at my home.

                  disappointed with the declining quality of service for such an expensive device and on fiber.

                  *radio management is difficult for French-speaking radio stations and this is the only one that interests me only.

                  *heats way too much in my personal opinion, even in standby, the screen must be 25° celsius

                            Currently, the Da Vinci is the only device offered in the Swisscom offer, for residential customers, supporting HD-Voice.

                            HD-Voice is not listed in the device’s features because, in fact, too few other models are equipped with it to have this experience regularly. However, communication from a Da Vinci terminal to another Da Vinci offers this quality.
