  • “Does this mean that the maximum speed of my line is 36 Mbits/sec for download and 11 Mbits/sec for upload?”

    that’s correct

What DSL device do you have (Netopia/Centro grande/Internet-box?)

"On the other hand, I don’t understand the dB measurements below (“line attenuation” and “Signal-to-noise ratio”)"

    Unless I’m mistaken,

it is the quality of the connection and distance to the DSLAM as well as the possible performance.

“Otherwise, if you want to look at the maximum capacity of a line for a future apartment when moving, you have to use the link I gave.”

This is also correct but it can be better or worse than what the checker will announce once there.

“You can find out your maximum capacity at this address: [https://www.swisscom.ch/fr/clients-prives/checker.html](https://www.swisscom.ch/fr/clients-prives/checker .html)”

the swisscom checker is not reliable! 😕

the only reliable one is information coming directly from your Internet gateway or measuring with a specialized testing device with a terminator and the measuring tool on the other end.

the rest is just more or less reliable theory.

To err is human… but it can be very easily corrected.
Note that these errors are not from one month but…. from +6 months in arrears!
We call this professional negligence or willful ignorance.

I therefore invite the Swisscom IPTV team to be more rigorous in their work to fill these gaps.

This is to avoid tarnishing the image of Swisscom TV which is starting to become like upc cablecom romandie! Lazy

To my knowledge, iMacs do not have video input but only video outputs,

see a real mac specialist for a solution if possibly available.

Swisscom has not yet understood that not everyone necessarily wants or cannot have a TV

    emergency solution…

available only for unscrambled channels with Swisscom TV quality

much better than their Swisscom TV air solution but… without tv guide to consult separately while waiting for Swisscom to disdain to provide a real quality solution for PC/Mac

Download the list of Swisscom IPTV channels and save it in your video or downloads folder

watch and zap the available channels and delete the one that doesn’t interesse you from the document.

if that doesn’t satisfy… I have no other answer than to go see the passionate Mac specialist.

2% of 8 million inhabitants still represents 160,000 customers who are left in the dark about the communication possibilities available by Swisscom with details of the equipment available and prices.

However far away they are in their country, however remote they may be in Switzerland, without being cut off from the world of information/telecommunications with the 4 possible services (TV, radios/Internet/telephony)

prices and communication service since 2012 have not changed except satellite allows 20/2Mbit/s for a respectable price in line with the maximum authorized price of the universal service.

    Is this acceptable, no!

Whatever the opinion of marketing or finance!

This is proof of ingratitude and ignorance on the part of the universal service provider for Switzerland towards these non-DSL/cellular customers.

  • When Swisscom Romandie will have lost part of their customer base….

Why are we losing Romandie Swisscom TV customers?

We will be able to send them all the collected links of labor negligence Swisscom TV.

Of course it is not a priority but after 6 months, corrections can be made

An effort that can be easily accomplished by an intern/student who will do the job better than a lazy employee who feels oppressed or who thinks that customers are becoming too demanding for these weary eyes.

He must think that what else do they need in terms of service, whether we provide them with the coffee, the coffee maker and the waitress or something else for these loud-mouthed French-speaking customers… but realistic.

  • RFM TV does not have its logo on the Swisscom TV tv guide as was to be expected!

Swisscom’s planning or proactivity is no longer on the agenda.

Swisscom fashion, customers have to slow down for changes to take place…after a certain long time.

    It’s crying with laughter 🙂

I would say to Swisscom tomorrow for radio if time allows, given Swisscom’s priorities, it won’t change anything.

Well, it’s true that it’s the Swiss German Swisscom that takes care of this kind of activity on swisscom tv/guide!

and if some people think I’m insolent, no!

Realistically, yes, some people should do their work and not exclude certain systems for speudo priority.

    What a lack of consideration.

Fortunately, he has Netflix to shake up all these media companies who have understood how to satisfy the majority, including the “minority”, whatever the platform and the type of customer, man, woman, homosexual. Only the result counts, generating customers and satisfying everyone.

Support Android, iOS, Windows, including Linux for everything soon via HTML5, for one goal, to generate as many customers as possible to subscribe to their service.

What it seems that Swisscom is forgetting as Switzerland’s number 1 operator but for how long with such denial.

A kick in the anthill wouldn’t hurt for certain decision-makers at Swisscom who are plagued by Android and iOS! So, big thanks to Netflix for truly multi-platform support.
