Today I accidentally came across an ancient login in the MySwisscom customer center that dates back to the dial-up era. But I can’t actually find anywhere where you can delete it. When I called the hotline, the nice gentleman didn’t know what to do; for data protection reasons, he couldn’t access my site.

As a “remedy” I have now created a better password (after I had to click it first, I wouldn’t know anymore…) and activated 2 F/A.

Basically, I don’t think it’s a good thing that one login can also be used to recognize other logins. For safety reasons. Even if you have to log in with the respective login to change them (if you still know that… see above… LOL).

I have an interesting side note: often when I send a spam or phishing email that ends up in the inbox to the Bluewin spamreport, the answer either ends up in the spam folder itself or is only delivered a day later, probably because the own answer is checked like that takes a long time… LOL

Does anyone know whether a common encryption (PGP, sMime) can be integrated into the new Bluewin email system, even though it has to be paid for? I suspect the answer is no, but I’m happy to be enlightened…

Does a maximum of 5 devices mean any devices at the same time or does it always have to be THE SAME devices? Sometimes you also look on your cell phone, then again on your PC, then again on your laptop. But only one at a time.

It’s not clear to me whether I can watch BlueTV anywhere on any TV with a new generation Chromecast (via HDMI) or only if the Swisscom TV Box is on the same network. Because then I wouldn’t need it…

A simple question for sure, but I’ve never held one in my hand and I just want to know before I buy one.

OpenVPN with twodns de now works again, at least at the moment… it has nothing to do with firmware IB, but we deviated from that in the discussion…

Reset IB: no, I’ve never had to do that. Don’t forget the Kofig. back up to have everything the same again, otherwise I have to recreate all the forwarding.

Didn’t know that you can reload old firmware.

Synology also has a new DSM that you have to install manually, from 7.0.1 to 7.1. But VPN didn’t cause any problems with the 7.0.1 version before.

I run OpenVPN on a Synology NAS, port forwarding is done in the IB so that it works.

Recently it has been taking over half a minute for the VPN connection to be established, sometimes it takes several attempts.
Could this have something to do with the new firmware?

I just see that my IB2 has a higher firmware than is currently shown on the Swisscom update page.

Mine is 13.00.38, according to the Swisscom homepage the current date is 12.02.48.

If you’re still interested, I restarted the TV box yesterday and it went smoothly without having to pair with the IB. Now everything is working again.
