Well, then you would almost have to switch to Wingo TV if the promo was appropriate.
Important for older semesters is 1-fold, which works reliably with the “OneRemote” TV.

@POGO 1104 OneRemote via IR does not (officially) exist (Wingo has another remote control and it doesn’t have an IR blaster)
HDMI-CEC has been working since TV firmware 8.X.X, you can switch the TV on automatically + select HDMI input and switch the TV off automatically
I have used this with HDMI-CEC for several customers, it works absolutely problem-free, even almost better than the IR OneRemote because it cannot happen that the TV and TV-Box are not synchronous, i.e. TV on and box off or vice versa
The only disadvantage is that the TV starts about 3 seconds late because the box doesn’t give the CEC command immediately. As long as the end user understands this and then doesn’t immediately press it again and switch the box off again, it’s not a big problem
This Multiroom Max is great!!! Do I have to buy a second home so that I can benefit from this subscription? We only have one additional device in the apartment (previously 5.00) and now we have to pay twice as much for the same thing. Dear Swisscom, you’ve outdone yourself once again. It’s probably time to find another provider!

I see it ambivalently. On the one hand, every provider sometimes removes older products from their offerings. Multiroom (5.00 per additional box) has not been available for subscription for some time. On the other hand, if you only have an additional box, the price doubles.
I have 5 boxes myself and have been saving 15 francs per month with the Max offer for some time now.
Every customer has to decide for themselves what they want to do. You have 2 options: accept it or look for alternatives.
I find it anything but ambivalent, but rather maximizing the margin and “cheating” the customer who wants to continue to use their current subscription structure - and without additional costs for possible opportunities that they do not need. The loyalty that kept me at Swisscom for years has definitely been used up, sorry!

The Multiroom Max affects Swisscom boxes, Apple TV, TV devices.
Cell phones, PCs and laptops can be registered up to 5 devices even without Multiroom Max. These 5 devices can also be used at the same time.
For the older generation, Swisscom’s current offering is pretty bad. Let’s take a look at what most people over 75 actually want:
There is simply no offer. This means that a significant proportion of the customer base pays millions every year for functions that are never needed and certainly not wanted! Swisscom seems to be mercilessly exploiting the situation in which this customer base in particular hardly switches to another provider and has “no idea” what they actually need. Somehow not quite what we would expect from a “federal company”.
The subscription you want is already on the market:
Okay, it has very small “deviations” from your very specific requirements:
- it is 1 franc too cheap
- unfortunately it is twice as fast as desired
- There are too many TV channels in it, but you don’t necessarily have to include them in the channel list
Otherwise, including the CH landline flat rate, it actually fits your requirements pretty perfectly, although the exclusion of the 7-day replay that you explicitly requested was actually almost the biggest challenge in the short research 🙂

You’re right, of course, but this ISP, which is also available throughout Switzerland, corresponds much more to your desire for state influence than Swisscom:
100% state ownership (specifically 3 cantons), no private shareholders, concentration exclusively on customers in Switzerland and no risks in foreign adventures 🙂

After a lengthy conversation on the helpline, the change is understandable to me. Since the old blue TV S (5.-) has not been offered to new customers for a long time and only a “few” old customers still have this subscription, it will now definitely be replaced. Unfortunately, this fact was not clearly communicated in the swisscom information letter.
