After an exciting first year of the Swisscom Hero League with many memorable moments, we are ready for a new chapter. 2020 brings some exciting changes to our league and how we deliver the Swiss eSports environment. Together with our partners SAMSUNG and OMEN at HP, we are progressing towards our vision of building a sustainable and healthy national eSports scene. Let’s take a deep breath and immerse ourselves in the changes.

Probably the most unexpected change will be the move from a bilingual production in Swiss-German and French to English. From now on all our broadcasts and social media activities will be held in English. There were many factors that led to this decision, but above all it was community feedback and the goal of removing the so-called “Ràstigraben” between the two largest linguistic cultures in Switzerland, bringing the communities closer together. We are really happy with the development we have experienced in the current 3 titles. That’s why we will continue with CS:GO, Clash Royale and League of Legends as part of the Swisscom Hero League ecosystem. There will be some changes to the formats.
