  • Hi,

It’s a bit of a paradox of digital, and it is also (in my opinion/my personal opinion) an obstacle to the free choice of the operator.

We tell ourselves that we buy films on VOD instead of DVD/Blu-ray so we avoid physical packaging, we do something for the planet, we are green….

But in the end you lose your purchase if you change operator, whereas you keep a DVD for life.

The worst thing is that the DVD is often even cheaper than purchasing it on VOD.

And we have the same problem with recordings, we lose everything if we change operator.

We almost come to miss the good old VHS…. 😉

ComCom would do well to look into this point for a future revision of the Telecom law, the portability of purchases and registration, as one can already carry its number. telephone.

  • Hello,

Unless I’m mistaken, Blue Sport only allows access on 1 mobile device in addition to the main stream of the box.

Maybe check that there is not already another mobile device (smartphone/tablet) using Blue Sport

  • Hi,

On safari on iPhone it is not on the… that you have to click but on the 3 lines marked Menu (just below) and then actually go down to the bottom in the sub-window that opens.

But it doesn’t work every time, 1x/3 it crashes.

  • Thank you @Gaeilgeoir for his answer which was accepted as a solution.

However, this is more of a supposition than evidence.

If anyone else has an idea I’m all ears.

    THANKS

    • Hi,

Indeed in Safari on MacOS no Emoji section on the right click

But in Chrome (still on MacOS) yes there is the Emoji option.

I can’t say if it’s related to the browser or if it comes from BlueMail which supports browsers differently.

    • Termination

    • Hello everyone,

Quick question, when you cancel a full subscription (internet/tv/phone)

Is the MySwisscom customer area also terminated on the same date or does it remain active and available for longer?

For example to retrieve the latest invoice or transfer an email address.

      Thanks in advance,

      • @Ludov Salut

Bonne question, étant donné qu’il est possible de réactiver un compte e-mail 180 jours après sa résiliation, je dirais que MySwisscom devrait être encore accessible au moins pendant cette période.

    • Hi,

I’m sharing my experience, but this one dates back quite some time, so things can have changed since then.

The pole and cables are property of Swisscom, so it is up to them to maintain them and you do not have the right to touch them.

However, as the owner of the land where it is located, it is your responsibility to ensure that nothing coming from your land damages the post.

So if the ivy growing on it comes from your land, it’s up to you to remove it and make sure it stops growing on it.

A priori, the person who owned the land when the pole was installed had to sign an agreement with Swisscom, defining the rights and duties of the two parties.

      Cordialement,

    • Hello everyone,

I was wondering, were any members of the community, super users or others, involved in testing the new webmail interface?

To ensure that all the functionalities of the old one were retained and functional?

Or is Swisscom offering us a new webmail which has only been tested internally and which will be unsuccessful?

    • @JanineZ

Hello, could you please give us a time scale?

When can existing customers expect to migrate to the new webmail and new basic subscription at 2.90?

Many have indicated their interest in migrating as soon as possible.

End of August, end of September,…..?

      Thanks in advance,

    • Hi,

I’m in a bit of the same situation. Apparently the new email subscriptions are not yet available for existing customers, at least not for all.

Unless I’m mistaken, the original announcement indicated that the change would take place in the coming months in a staggered manner.

But it’s actually a shame that we can’t anticipate change.

For example, my 5GB on one of my addresses are almost saturated and I will be delighted with the 15GB to come.

If a moderator could tell us how to change already? please, thank you?

    • Hello

This is indeed what Swisscom announced by email today.

And of course no price reduction announced at the same time for blue sport.
Except in this case it would be clearly justified because it is a dead loss, there is no compensation announced, at least for the moment…

    • Hi,

Actually before it was 5Fr per stream, now it’s 9.90Fr in total. So everyone who needs more than 2 additional flows is a winner, but those who only need 1 are a loser.

It’s always the little ones who pay for the big ones…

The point that @Gaeilgeoir mentions in post 4 is quite relevant.

Why charge for an additional stream if activated on an AppleTV/Smart TV, but not if on a Smartphone, Tablet or even computer?

Because I can very well connect an iPad or a Mac mini for example via HDMI to a 75 inch TV and I will have all my content without paying a penny more on a 2nd TV.

So yes there may be a restriction in terms of the HD or 4K format not available in this configuration (I haven’t checked), but for the average person it’s not noticeable, to watch a simple TV show.

The majority of streaming providers actually don’t make a difference. Depending on the subscription, we are entitled to 2-3-5 devices whatever they may be.

So actually why Swisscom works in this way by making a distinction, a mystery….

But for all those who only need an additional TV, simply use a laptop or mobile device connected to a TV to avoid paying for the max multiroom option.

It’s certainly a little more restrictive, I admit, but it saves between 60 and 118.8 Fr per year.

    • Hello,

So in the art of communication it’s all a question of formulation.

Until then, emails were an integral part of Internet subscriptions, so each S/M/L Internet subscription included 5 emails with 5GB.

Swisscom has now decided to separate emails from Internet subscriptions, which will only contain 1 email with 1 GB free of charge.

So in a certain sense Yes Swisscom restricts access to emails, since you will have to subscribe to them in addition.

If we can welcome the fact that the email service is improving and becoming independent, it is regrettable that in return this implies an indirect increase in the price of Internet subscriptions which lose services but remain at the same price.

    • @Doremi

I actually saw what you mentioned, only smartphone, etc.

But unless I’m mistaken I also saw another place where it says Apple/Smart T V

(I will add the link later if I find it)

But from experience I know that it works in any case on Apple TV

    • Hello everyone again,

There remains a way to deal with the increase for blue tv s, it is through blue tv air free, but it involves using the blue tv app directly on a smart tv or Apple TV and more directly with the Swisscom box.
By canceling your blue tv s subscription and creating a 2nd Swisscom login to access tv air free.

    • Hello,

I also have this error page that has been displayed for 1-2 days when I try to access the email settings in MySwisscom.

In general, refreshing the page works again. (shift+F5)

I will say that Swisscom is in the process of implementing the new settings related to changing your email account and that there are some bugs.

As email subscriptions are removed from internet subscriptions, there will no longer be a default email and therefore we can imagine that this error message will be displayed to customers who have not subscribed to an email subscription.

    • Hello

So if I understand correctly, all customers with an internet subscription which currently includes 5 email addresses will see their monthly bills increase by 2.90?

In the future, will internet subscriptions only include one address?

So once again a unilateral increase imposed by Swisscom?

As I already said, a roundabout way of echoing the inflation.

It was a lot of bullshit when Swisscom announced that it would not pass on inflation before 2025, unlike other operators.

I’m curious to see what the Telecoms Ombudsman will say.

      Edit:

This also means that the services included in internet subscriptions are decreasing, since until now they included 5 email addresses which will no longer be the case. So a hidden increase in internet subscription prices!

    • number of sports and multiroom streams

    • Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could/would confirm or deny my understanding of this table indicating the number of possible streams/devices and especially concerning blue sport which only has one.

My understanding is that there is always the main stream on the TV box and I can therefore watch on just one additional device, so if I watch a match on the main box in the living room my son could watch another on his iPad , but no more. I just?

And when is it with the multiroom option?

In this case can I watch a match on the box in the living room, my first son another on the Apple TV in his bedroom and my second son a third on a connected TV? Which would make 3.

But these are main devices with multiroom so not included in the additional devices.

And in that case I could still watch a fourth game on an iPad or not? This will be an additional one. Or not?

Thank you in advance for your clarifications, explanations, etc…

    • Hello,

in all cases this results in a (strong) price increase for the customer.

      3 x for blue tv s (200% increase)

      2 x for multiroom (100% increase)

so yes there are more services, but if customers have stayed on the old offer it is because it is useless to them

so once again a unilateral increase imposed by Swisscom

a roundabout way of passing on the inflation and the renchérissement to the clients.

Only Swisscom’s profits count, and for the interests of customers we will come back.
