Statische IP-Adresse für Netzwerkgeräte aktivieren

How to activate the static IP address for network devices

  • The Internet-Box assigns a default IP address to every device, which can be changed. You can configure a static IP address (a manual IP address that doesn’t change) for network devices with server services (e.g. IP camera, NAS server etc.). Find out how here.

    Configure in Web portal

Open the router portal in expert mode and go to Network > IP settings. You can then assign a static IP address to a device under Automatically assign static IP address > Select device. We recommend this option as it is less prone to error

    Configure on end device

You can also configure the static IP address on the network device. However, manually configured network installations require expert knowledge and planning. When selecting static IP addresses on the end device, avoid using addresses in the 192.168.1.101-192.168.1.168 range (Internet-Box DHCP range).

Important: It is important to use each static IP address one time only. We recommend setting up the static IP address only on the router or on the end device itself. Otherwise, you risk IP conflicts that prevent Internet access.

Hello @tgifch, have you seen the second paragraph of the article? 🙂

This is how you proceed: To make these settings, enter “http://internetbox” or “192.168.1.1” in your Internet browser and log in with your Internet Box “admin” [password](https://www .swisscom.ch/sam/online/app/InternetAccessdata?mode=overview&lang=de). Switch to expert mode and go to the “IP Settings” tab via the “Network” menu item. Under “Assign static IP address automatically” you can use “Select device” to assign a static IP address to a device.

Does this help or can you ask other people your question differently?

    Best regards

Hello and thanks for the answer

Not one device in my internal network should have a fixed IP,
but the router itself. This IP must be assigned by Swisscom.
Unfortunately I can’t find the option to order this option anywhere.

I want to assign a static IP address, but I can’t find the device in the device list? So of course I can’t write in an IP address.

Under “Port forwarding” I was able to enter the device with the IP address and the port with the checkmark for “Allow automatic port forwarding”.

I’m a bit lost right now. I made a device/sensor that I provided with a fixed IP (192.168.1.210), it worked perfectly, a day later it is still connected to the router, but there is no longer any communication with other devices. Since I can no longer reprogram the part and burn in a different IP, I made a new one, programmed it with 192.168.1.20, and it works.

Now I have two absolutely identical devices, both connected to the network, the one on.210 doesn’t work, the one works on.20.

    Now to my actual question:

Is there any reason why the IP 192.168.1.210 shouldn’t work as a fixed IP? The DHCP range is .101-.200, so that shouldn’t be a problem…

    I’m happy for any tips.

Off the top of my head I can’t see any reason for this.

Have you ever reset the router with the staple?

But first, save the config locally on a PC and, if necessary (if you have a lot of individual definitions in it) and an initial test with the missing IP has been carried out, restore it again afterwards.

What does Important: Each static IP address can only be used once.” mean?

It means that each IP address can be uniquely assigned to only one device at a time.

in practice you can use an address an indefinite number of times, but you can assign it to only one device at a time, this therefore allows you to reuse unused IP addresses or adapt new devices to the existing network.

the network ideal is that each device has its own UNIQUE and static network address, and this solves the vast majority of problems.

    Hello

I want to use my NAS Synology DS215j in the network and have subscribed to a static name with No-IP. I entered No-IP correctly in the router setup (DynDNS) and can now find my NAS from outside the network without any problems using the external name. In the home network, however, I can only access my NAS via the IP address, not via the external address. I tried to enter the router (Internet Box plus) in the NAS, but I cannot find the model in the selection list. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for tips

The only problem with this function is that devices that are no longer in the network and have been solved continue to hang around in the IP reservation.

For example, I replaced my cell phone, which had a static address. Now I wanted to assign this static address to the new one, but the Internet box firmly claims that the IP is reserved (of course I deleted the device in the Internet box in advance)

The Swisscom hotline can’t or won’t help me with this, either you don’t call back and if you follow up again you’ll be treated rudely… Please solve this problem or provide assistance

During a hard reset, an Internet box also forgets the previously assigned IP addresses.

Your problem can be solved with the following process:

    - Briefly check the current configuration of the IB for the desired values, then save it locally on a PC

    - Hard reset the IB during operation using a paper clip or SIM tool

    - After restart, restore the CFG file from the PC and check the functionality, if necessary, re-register the router

    - then adjust the IB settings again to new desired values and save the config again on the PC for future use
