Hello Heinz

That’s strange, the “Not in any album” filter works fine for me. When it is active, only photos that are not already in an album should be displayed. If you then select the relevant photos and add them to an album, they should disappear from the timeline. Of course, as long as you don’t reset the filter.

My Cloud photos and videos in one album.

Why are iPhone videos still not sorted by creation date?
iPhone images must first be exported to a folder from Photos on Mac.

Then you can upload it to an album.

However, videos receive the date of export.
That’s wrong.

Thanks for a correction!

@Baggster well how???

The photo library where the images are located must be marked as a system library in the Photos app!

1. Open an album

2. Click on the cloud with the arrow at the top right (not on “Add Photos”)

3. A small, white window opens > click on “Add photos”.

4. Then the Finder window comes down from above > click on Photos at the bottom of the sidebar under Media

Baggster OK, works like that, thanks.

    only…

    Is incredibly slow and:

When I upload an iPhone video, the recording date is correct, but I can’t play it.

If I export the video and upload it using drag & drop, it works…

      Please, you’re welcome.

IOS records videos in mov format, uploading is no problem as I described above… Playing takes a while, just wait a bit after uploading.

I don’t agree with the mov format.

I didn’t say anything about exporting either! The iPhone/iPad always records videos in mov format with IOS, that’s just the way it is.:smileyhappy: Videos from iPhone/iPad are always saved in mov format in the Photos app because it’s Apple’s own format is.

Of course, if you export a video from the Photos app, it will be converted to m4V format. If you drag and drop the same video from the Photos app onto the desktop, it will be saved to the desktop in mov format.

Drag’n’drop and exporting are two different processes.

Photos app: In the “Export” menu you have the choice “Export 1 video” (then it will be converted to m4v and exported) or “Export unedited original for 1 video” (then it will be exported as mov).

I also run videos in mov format on myCloud without any problems.

        Hello Stenast

We are currently working on it. Specifically, the following changes are planned:

        • If you change the sorting in an album, the changes should be automatically applied to all platforms (mobile app, web, TV).
        • If you share the album as a link, the sorting should also be applied correctly.

        Hello

I would like to have the photos sorted by date in the albums - oldest first, newest last. But it is always the newest first in the album. It is possible to change this using the sort function, but once the album is closed and reopened, the newest one is again first. Why can’t this be saved?

        Hello @Zyto

Unfortunately, this was not possible until recently, but it should now work. Furthermore, you should now also have the option to create and save your desired sorting using the “Custom” selection.

        Kind regards dont_p4nic (:

        @“x”#368953Interesting.

Would it also be possible to access the metadata of the photos which contain the actual creation date instead of the copy date that Windows sets as the creation date?

        Hello

In Windows C, the photos are sorted by date and the photos are stored in a folder.

        2019 03 23 Wedding Hans
        2019 04 01 Monaco car race

        2019 04 15 Garden Ilgenstrasse

        etc

With the cloud, the photos are also organized by date. However, the photos are all visible and not stored in the folder, which makes it difficult to search by date and title.

It would be ideal if Swisscom itself could change the very useful division by date. For example, the Swisscom subdivision “January 2020” would be divided into four albums such as 2020 01 02 Franz’s birthday, 2020 01 08 Ride in Engadin, 2020 01 15 Skiing in Davos and 2020 01 24 Motorcycle.

Thanks for your feedback. I’m happy to record it and pass it on.

        This may help you further:

If you load the images including the (parent) folder into the “Files” area and then select the folder, you can use the “Copy to Photos” function. In this process you can create albums directly from the subfolders and thus have the same order as on your PC (simply in the form of albums).
