I have exactly the same problem. Everything is set up and connected, and I’ve been assigned an IP address in the 100.x.x.x range.

The problem is that I just can’t get a connection to https://swisscom.ch/start - nothing happens.

What could be the reason for this, and does anyone here have any ideas on how I can solve the problem?

Do I need to clone the MAC address of my Internetbox 4 to get through?

I’m on a 10 Gbit/s line, if that’s relevant.

I ordered one from him last Friday, transferred the money and received it in the post today.

    Absolutely no problems at all.

Spoke to Mr Hofer on the phone, explained what I needed and he gave me very good and knowledgeable advice.

    Very serious!

Tajdk I would do the following:

    1. reset existing internet
    2. connect the fibre optic cable to the Swisscom InternetBox
    3. get internet via InterneBox and check that it works correctly (check via MySwisscom portal) - Home => Internet => Your router Internet-Box 5 or so - there should be no errors. This error must not occur
*Your router cannot be reached Settings are only partially possible. Switch your router off, wait 30 seconds, switch your router back on and try again.
    4. check IP and test InternetSpeed (directly via LAN cable InternetBox <> Device)
    5. if this has worked, connect fibre optics to UDM The configuration in the WAN is already documented here x-times
    6. wait in the Unifiy UI until a 100 IP is received
    7. then navigate to Open https://swisscom.ch/registration or www.swisscom.ch/start via the device connected to UDM
    8. click through the process - when the Internet has changed to the new Mac address, wait (10 to 15 minutes)
    9. then a correct IP will come up

This process can be repeated several times - the XPON decryption can be activated back & forth (IB5 <> UDM)…

    hope I could help you.

    Greetings, buck*

buck The problem was apparently due to the DNS setting.

As soon as I specified the Swisscom DNS server, I was able to continue and now everything works perfectly.

I can very happily explain that.

The set-up is actually quite simple.

        1. Under Internet → Settings:

        • Set VLAN ID to 10

        2. IPv4 configuration:

        • Enable DHCPv4

        • Add option 60**

        • Value: 100008,0001**

        3. IP address assignment:

        • I have received an IP address in the 100.x.x.x range.

        • This is an internal NAT address from Swisscom, which is required for registration in the network.

        • However, I was unable to continue until I set the DNS server on my PC to 195.186.4.162 (Swisscom).

        4. Swisscom registration:

        • After that the connection to https://swisscom.ch/start was possible.

        • There you will be guided through the registration process (enter physical connection number & slot).

        5. Completion & restart:

        • After registration, I restarted the UDM Pro.

        • Then everything ran as desired with an external IP address.

        6. IPv6 activation (optional):

        • Enable DHCPv6

        • Select prefix 56**

        7. Reset DNS:

        • After successful setup, the DNS can be set back to Auto or Router.

        • Everything is now working perfectly.

Okay thanks, I would actually like to do without the SC router. Otherwise I could still play Swisscom TV via Apple TV. I’ll give it a try.

Another question: Is it possible that the Swisscom fibre module, of which I have one, works on the SFP WAN port of a Unifi router/gateway? Has anyone tried this? It would be worth a try before I order the Allnet module.

I don’t really have much to say about this. I’m still on g.fast, need the IB for internet, landline telephony, DDNS and tv. Also works without any problems.

My UDMpro is behind the IB and does the whole home network. I loop TV through the entire UDM network using vlan. When I set this up, Unifi itself was not yet iptv-ready…

kaetho you hear that multicast is better supported by the UniFi devices since the last updates, but I can’t say anything specific about it because I have Mikrotik. I only get this kind of info by hearing it.

I’m getting the Allnet module tomorrow. As it works with the Dream Machine, can I assume that it will also work with the new Cloud Gateway Fibre? Does anyone already have the new UCG Fibre?

you would be the first 😉

Go ahead, order one of these, plug it in, try it out, test it, and report back here!

And if it doesn’t work, you can send the device back - most online retailers offer you this option.

              Hello everyone

I’m getting in touch here because I’ve been using the UCG Fibre with the XGSPON module (ALL-BM410) for a good 2 months now.
I can only show the installation at a Swisscom BBCS-F partner, but the module is 100% compatible with the XGSPON network and the UCG fibre.

Installation is the usual: VLAN10 and make sure that Swisscom DNS servers are stored - otherwise it won’t work with the Swisscom Activation Page.
Then ask the partner for the NSN (10-digit) or activation code (6-digit) - if the line is being used for the first time.
Wait 15 minutes and the line was online for me.

The UCG Fibre is a great device - very compact, fits well in the fuse box, has a 10Gbit RJ45 and 10Gbit SFP+ and one Gbit port also has PoE. I have also equipped the UCG Fibre with an M.2 SSD for camera recordings.
The UCG Fibre has an internal fan - but it is not audible.

The Allnet module gets quite warm (around 62°C in my case) - which restricts operation in the fuse box.

If you have any questions - just ask🙂
