Hello,
I hope you do not mind if I ask a question in English.
I am trying to do a fairly simple task:
I have a Swisscom Centro Grande (currently on set to 172.16.1.1) and a Unifi USG (Currently on set to 192.168.1.1 internally). My aim is to have port forwarding rules work. I would like to be able to access several ports on one of my devices (e.g. port 5000 for a Synology NAS) from outside my network.
I cannot get the IP passthrough to work as I would have imagined. If I select IP Passthrough below, the USG is no longer able to connect to the internet.
As you can see I have also tried “NAT default mode” but also no success.
I have setup port forwarding on the USG but perhaps incorrectly?
Thank you for any help
Hello AziwA
you have to setup de DMZ (demilitarized zone) to your USG’s IP in the 172.16.1.0/24 range. You should find this setting in the centro grande also. The portforward rule seems to be ok.

Hello everyone
I have to reopen the topic again. I haven’t had a live stream behind my USG for two days. Everything was working until yesterday. Replay and recordings are still going.
If I connect the TVBox directly to the IB 2 it works again. But no longer behind the USG. I haven’t done anything myself, but the USG may have updated it. The settings from @BurningRoli are still there. Or I can still see the configurations in the firewall settings.
Has anyone experienced the same thing and has a solution?
Greetings
Oliver
Hello @revillo81
But I have to mention that I haven’t had an SC-TV for three months and the config for UPC was not necessary.
I didn’t switch because UPC is better, but because the SC management is too weak in our community.
I had these symptoms with the SC-TV almost every time after I restarted the USG (system update).
For me too, the config was still the same as before the restart, only SC TV didn’t work either.
I was able to solve the system by removing and reinstalling the two files.
Important. Make a backup of your configuration beforehand.
Then…
1. Remove the “config.gateway.json” and the “config.properties” files from the directory and place them on your computer.
2. Force provision the USG and all ETC.
3. After provisioning, test the proxy function. Since there are no more files on it, it shouldn’t be activated.
4. Re-upload the two files from step 1 and provision again.
5. Test the proxy function again. When it’s running you can start SC-TV. It should work again.
Let me know when it’s running again. You may have to repeat the process 1-2 times.
Greetings Marcel
Hello Marcel
Many thanks for your response.
Luckily I haven’t gotten around to reinstalling the json files yet. It works again with the existing configuration.
But I later noticed that Unifi had carried out a FW update immediately before my problem. Another one went out a few days later. Apparently this had a bug that affected the configuration. In the settings, however, everything was the same as before via the web interface. The error must have been deeper.
When I wanted to try your suggested solution, I replugged it again just to be on the safe side (from experience 😉 ), since I had in the meantime connected the box directly to the IB2. And lo and behold, it went back to how it was before…
Thanks anyway for your efforts.
Greetings
Oliver
Hello everyone
I’m starting to despair - maybe you can help me.
Everything worked wonderfully during my installation thanks to your tips here.
Quickly to my configuration. Swisscom Internet box -> USG 4P -> Unifi Switch 24 -> Unfi Switch 8 -> SCTV
After I installed the latest controller version on the Cloudkey (5.9.29) I now have the following behavior:
Everything that is Replay works great. Live TV either works for 10 seconds - or the picture simply remains black. Show igmpsnooping looks like this on the 24 Switch:
Admin Mode……………………………. Enable
Multicast Control Frame Count………………. 469
IGMP header validation…………………………… Disabled
Interfaces Enabled for IGMP Snooping……None
VLANs enabled for IGMP snooping……………. 1
Can you maybe help me and give me a tip? Thank you very much now.
@BurningRoli can you help?
Hello,
I also run a USG behind the IB2 and was even able to get it to work using the instructions here. But I have the Swisscom TV Box directly on the IB2.
What I now notice is that the speed is extremely poor. In the speed test of the IB2, it is great from the Internet to the IB2, but extremely bad from the IB2 to my computer (which is connected to the USG).
How do I have to/can I change this to be able to use the full speed?
Thanks
Hi Thomas
To answer this we would need to know the following: how is your device connected to the USG. (cable or WiFi)
Are all devices affected by the same problem?
If WiFi, what band are you on? 2.4 or 5 Ghz, who are the APs from?
On the USG you can set up different profiles with different bandwidths, but if you haven’t done anything there everything is still standard and would not be limited in speed.
You still have to follow the instructions here in the forum for the USG if you also want to operate the TV behind the USG and also have a switch there.
In my home I have full speed on the cable as well as on the WLAN.

Hello Lorenz,
My device is connected via a UniFi Switch 24, which is connected to the USG’s LAN. The USG’s WAN is connected to the IB2. According to the settings, I have a gigantic network and therefore a full internal connection. The USG also shows both ports (i.e. LAN and WAN) green, which also indicates a Giga network.
Do I have to set something in the WAN’s USG settings? Do I have to activate IPV6 or is IPV4 enough? When IPV4 should be set to use static address or DCHP?
Thanks
Hi Thomas
I still have the Cloudy Key dongle from UniFi, which is attached to my switch.
There is also a point on the UniFi GUI where you can take a speed measurement. This way you would see whether the switch has full speed.
This point is on the main overview,
IP6 is not yet active for me at the moment.
Whether the color is green or orange only means that the network connection is set to 1 Gbit.
For me, Internet Plus does not run on the original Swisscom IP range 172.16.1.1
The USG uses a dynamic IP address, but I have set it as a fix on the IB Plus.
The USG itself has a static LAN address on 192.168.2.1
UniFi assigns DHCP for me.
In my case, the basement, ground floor and first floor each have an Access Point from UniFi and I have clean network cabling throughout.
I hope I was able to help you, otherwise please get in touch again.

Hello Zämä
I have to bring up the topic again. I’ve struggled through various threads and just can’t get SCTV to work. My setup:
IB -> USG -> Unify 8 Port Switch -> AP AC-PRO
SCTV depends on the output of the AP AC-Pro
IB IP: 192.168.1.1
IP of the Unify network: 10.10.10.0/24 (is my subnet where all Unify devices are in it. IGMP snooping activated)
IP Cloud Key: 10.10.10.100
IP of the SCTV Box: 10.10.10.14
I didn’t manage to get the SCTV box into a VLAN despite manually assigning an IP. Is it because I’m looping it through an AP? So I simply activated IGMP snooping for the Unify subnet to test it.
There are also several VLANs for guests / staff / technology, each with different devices hanging in them.
IGMP snooping is enabled in 10.10.10.0/24.
I created the two files (saved as UTF-8 and.json) and copied them to the location in the default folder on the Cloud Key using WIN SCP (see print screen below). The whole thing was repeated several times and provisioning was forced.
I created the FW rules in the WAN IN and WAN LOCAL myself (not in the file).
I’m not a pro especially with SSH, but when I:
enter show ip multicast mfc and I get: IGMP Proxy not configured.
Can someone help me? BurningRoli
What am I doing wrong? Please feel free to tell me if I should send more print screens.
Below are the photos of the config:
Hi @chra,
You have a lot of construction sites open there.
In order for you to be able to use VLANs, you have to create your own network for each one. Then you do the configuration in Profile-> Switch Port which then assigns to a switch port in the GUI.
I have 6 VLANs running, one of which is for SCTV.
I’ve never tested what’s running behind an AP, but it should be forwarded transparently.
First get the IGMP proxy working, this can only be done with the config file.
Send me the USG runtime config via PM. This can be downloaded under Device Properties -> Configuration -> Manage Device -> DOWNLOAD DEVICE INFORMATION. Here you can see which parameters are working effectively. Then we’ll look further.
Greetings Roli
Hi @aus
The IGMP proxy is not running and/or the firewall settings are not correct. Follow the instructions in the thread. Basically you have to create 2 config files and copy them to the right place and it works.
Greetings Roli
Did you create the FW rules via GUI or config.gateway.json?
If json:
- Is the json valid? -> Check with https://jsonlint.com
- Is the text format UTF-8?
For other users it helped that the config was copied again to the USG. Then force provisioning.
Greetings Roli
