Basically really great news. Been waiting a long time for this box. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the ports. If it says Pro on it, it should also be Pro. Yes, Wifi 7 is great, and a 10 Gbit is also enough. But to still come up with 1 Gbit connections in 2025 is really incomprehensible. For all those people with larger flats or houses who operate more than 1 Wifi Box, 4 2.5Gbit connections for several Wifi Boxes (possibly Wifi Box 4 with Wifi 7) would have been perfect.

It’s a pity this wasn’t integrated, especially in the Pro version. Wasn’t there actually a “normal” and a “pro” version planned?

    • It’s been official for a few days. Looks very chic and also smaller, in the style of the WiFi Box 3. It’s really a shame, ONLY 4 1Gb Lan are integrated and not 2.5. Should be standard today, so I don’t understand it. So unfortunately not an option for me.

    • I would be interested in that too. There will definitely be one when they make the move to WiFi 7 and possibly replace the 1Gb ports with 2.5Gb along with the 10Gb.

    • Can I actually plug the IR OUT of the Swisscom TV Box directly into an IR IN instead of the IR transmitter? I have the Loxone IR Control and would like to use it to control the Swisscom TV Box. Or do I need the “detour” via the official IR dongle, which I then bring into the Loxone IR control via the IR transmitter?

      Thank you in advance

    • Hi, I’ve actually been busy with Google for hours. I don’t understand the programs mentioned like ProntoEdit. The conversion programs I found can only convert XML to CCF… and everything is visible via http://irdb.tk/, but I get a CCF file not there either.

Do you have any tips on how I can get all HEX data into a CCF?

      Thanks

    • Hello Viktor,

It’s amazing that you put these HEX codes online with a huge amount of effort. Really thank you very much for that. Do you also know how to get all these HEX codes into a CCF file?

I would like to import this CCF file via my Smart Home and thus create the remote control. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything online that helped me.

    • Hello Lorenz,

I connected the USG gateway via WAN to the Swisscom Internet box. The Swisscom TV Box is the only device that is directly connected to the Internet box, the rest of the entire network runs over the LAN from the USG with various UniFi switches and APs. The Swisscom network is 192.168.1.1 and the UniFi network is 192.168.100.1.

So far everything works as expected, but when I do the speed test on the Unifi controller software, the data rate doesn’t come close to 1Gbit. When I do the speed test on the Swisscom Internet box, I get full speed. I started both measurements on the same PC, which is connected to the end devices via a Gigalan.

The question now arises for me as to whether the USG gets the full speed over the WAN via this “loop” from the Internet box?

      Thank you for your support

      Greetings Thomas

    • Hello Lorenz,

My device is connected via a UniFi Switch 24, which is connected to the USG’s LAN. The USG’s WAN is connected to the IB2. According to the settings, I have a gigantic network and therefore a full internal connection. The USG also shows both ports (i.e. LAN and WAN) green, which also indicates a Giga network.

Do I have to set something in the WAN’s USG settings? Do I have to activate IPV6 or is IPV4 enough? When IPV4 should be set to use static address or DCHP?

      Thanks

      • Hello,

I also run a USG behind the IB2 and was even able to get it to work using the instructions here. But I have the Swisscom TV Box directly on the IB2.

What I now notice is that the speed is extremely poor. In the speed test of the IB2, it is great from the Internet to the IB2, but extremely bad from the IB2 to my computer (which is connected to the USG).

How do I have to/can I change this to be able to use the full speed?

        Thanks
