mhm, it’s clear.

therefore I also belong to the federal government. because I also have to bow to the laws and fulfill my duties.

(basically an interesting philosophical debate 🤔)

Can’t we get back on topic?

Is the rollout for the UHD boxes already underway?

EOS4 definitely works well for me. on the UHD box and the new box. They have launched products with shakier firmware in the past.

For me it doesn’t even run smoothly on the new box.

If I don’t restart every day, I have sound interruptions all the time and sometimes image errors.
You don’t need Netflix at all, because that’s where it’s most annoying

and for exactly the same reason Swisscom must too.

Thank you very much, the evidence is complete.

@5018

Actually, I wrote the same thing as you about delay. At least that was my intention.

The rest: The scene in Switzerland is not big. You know each other. Then all the consistent reports from SC employees I personally know are “fake”. I don’t really care, it doesn’t matter anyway.

@Anonymous

The only confirmed thing is the official information that the rollout will take a few more weeks for operational reasons, everything else is pure speculation.

So the “Swisscom God” has decided and even spoken…

One can perhaps deduce that the causes are not “non-operational” reasons, otherwise it would be said “from ongoing improvement measures for the new version”, or something similar….

In my opinion, you can really rule out the non-operational reasons.

My opinion on this:

If the SC has as long as it takes to upgrade to OS4 with the UHD box, the question is how to bring the TV-Air app 3.xx back to a decent level (sometimes relatively simple functions from 2.xx that have been “dropped”) , at the end of February there was talk of OS4 (unfortunately the year was missing in MiriamF’s post). The TV-Air app was compulsorily introduced at the beginning of 2019 and only provided with mini-patches.

But maybe there are other developers at work…

Yesterday my UHD box wanted to update to OS4.0.

But it gets stuck when booting.

Had to reset the box. Now running on OS3.2 again

Just wait, it’ll come back. Also at the 1st. Wait a few minutes to boot, the process can take longer…

Of course I waited and called support after more than 4 hours, and then I was told to do a reset.

I’m wondering if the updates aren’t tested? Luckily there aren’t that many hardware variants.

Such updates can repeatedly cause problems for some users, although it can work for several thousand.

It is important to report this so that it can be clarified.

N.b. Is the TV-Box connected directly via LAN, i.e. without a WLAN bridge or D-LAN (Powerline)?

Hello everyone

The rollout was stopped due to the current situation surrounding the Corona virus. It cannot yet be said when the rollout will continue.

The most important criterion now is that the available employees, especially on the hotline, can maintain the service and respond to our customers’ most urgent questions.

Greetings

IvanH
