Message sent empty?

  • Hello,

    I’ve been using Outlook Classic on my PC for 2 months. When I send an email from my PC, it appears in “Sent items”.

    When I go to my Smartphone, the folder is empty. No synchronisation, and yet IMAP is supposed to synchronise PC & Smartphone.

    I’ve checked the IMAP settings on the Smarphone and on the PC and everything is fine. I use “Bluewin E-mail Light” which is supposed to synchronise IMAP !!!!!

    I reported the problem to Microsoft, the second level told me it must be a Swisscom problem.

      Leave Outlook out and just look at Thunderbird. Are the sent messages synchronised between PC, mobile phone and webmail?

      What kind of mail app do you use on your smartphone?
      Have you looked under “Sent items” on your smartphone instead of “Sent mails”?

        Try the “Thunderbird” mail app on your smartphone. Can be set up in 1 minute, including a Bluewin mail address.

        Just tried it out:
        Bluewin email sent on Outlook Classic Desktop and email was visible on the smartphone in Thunderbird in “Sent-items”

          Devices connected via IMAP load a sent mail into the corresponding folder (Sent) on the server by default. The question now is why this does not work for you from both your PC and your mobile phone. Outlook in particular has been causing problems recently. My suggestion is therefore, as already mentioned by my colleague Pogo 1104, to use a different mail programme. Thunderbird on the PC, the pre-installed mail programme or Thunderbird on the mobile phone.
          Also, do you use additional antivirus or security programmes? Or VPN?

          I installed Thunderbid as you advised, here is the situation.

          Smartphone/Thunderbid: I send an email “Test 1”, it is on “Sent Items” in Thunderbird". On PC/Outlook: Inbox: OK - Sent items: KO

          On PC/Outlook: I send a mail “Test 2”, it is on “Sent Items” of Outlook Classic. Smartphone/Thunderbid: Inbox: OK - Sent Items: KO

          Results NOT CONCLUDING!

            In my opinion the problem is with the Outlook synchronisation because there is nothing easier than installing Thunderbird and it works normally with the Bluewin email without any ifs and buts.

              As I read it, he sends an e-mail with Outlook and it does not appear in Thunderbird, but when he sends an e-mail with Bluewin WEB-Mail it appears in Thunderbird.

              That’s why I said that in my opinion this has everything to do with Outlook.
