Mostly, telephone and IT installation are separated over 2 cables (at the top of the same pipe). Then from each can a cable would lead to the telephone rail and a cable to the IT rail in the box.

Hello,

have a similar problem, according to Anschluss of the new router of Swisscom, the telephone connection is only occupied (even if I plug the router back out).

Unfortunately, the above links no longer work, maybe someone can “redirect” me.

          Thanks for the prompt tip.

          I did this, only then did the Internet no longer go, and the phone still didn’t.

          Couldn’t configure the Swisscom router after the reset (DHPS had previously switched off because it already makes my “normal” router. Then reset, but I suspect that the IP has changed from the router, did not find it on the usual addresses anymore. Didn’t work anymore if I hooked the router directly to the Mac.

          I’ve found an emergency solution until the technician comes. hung my Uralt VDSL router (Centro Piccolo?) back with the Uralt filter, Internet works again, immediately fast (33-34kBit), and I will give up the Swisscom TV until someone from Swisscom puts this (determined tomorrow afternoon) in order. And you know what? At the moment even my fixed network works again.

          I suspect that at that time a Swisscom technician a few years ago (beginning of VDSL) what was wrong about my Anschluss.

            You probably have a digital socket. Then you don’t need a filter but a splinter.

            You can connect the new router to the old (filter) splitter.

            You’d better take a picture of all this. Then I can tell you if my guess is correct.

            The socket of picture d) is called digital socket, I would have given her another name. How can a socket be digital 😉

            In Figure c) it is actually an RJ45 socket no RJ11. The plug of the filter would not fit into it.

            The “digital socket” has a switching contact in its interior. Therefore you need a splinter or a VOIP/ALLIP Anschluss_.
