Box was defective. Everything is ok with the new box.

If I give the CB an IP like e.g. 172.17.1.254 then I have no problems with the other addresses, my firewall could keep the 172.17.1.1 and I just have to tell the firewall the new destination IP from the CB.

Then everything in my network stays as usual.

The CB’s benefit would still have to work.

- Fiber optic Anschluss

- 100 Mbit and possibly more

- Continued use of my ISDN telephone system with 7 extensions

Why were such specific IP addresses chosen in the document?

I would like to operate the firewall with 172.17.1.1 and use the entire range with 255.255.255.0.

Hello everyone

On March 22nd I get the Centro Business 2.0. Fiber standard delivered. Fiber optic 100 MBit.

I have assigned around 35 devices with fixed IP addresses in the range 172.17.1.xxx. All devices get their address from the Sonicwall firewall (IP: 172.17.1.1)

The Centro should now have the IP address 192.168.1.1. I would like to continue using the old address range.

Can I set the Centro to 172.17.1.0 (!!!) or 255? Then I can leave the firewall as it is and only have to change one address in the firewall.

I can also live with 172.17.1.1 for the Centro and 172.17.1.2 for the firewall.

Is that possible??
