  • Good morning,

Could you advise from where you are trying to connect to the VPN? Is this a corporate network that could potentially filter traffic? Does your iPhone connect to your VPN over 3G/4G?

    Cordialement.

  • Good morning,

By default, Windows does not allow connection to an L2TP/IPsec VPN server located behind a NAT device. To bypass this block, it is necessary to apply a modification to the system registry.

    __Apply change to registry*

    1. Press the Windows + R keys at the same time to bring up the Launch dialog.
    2. In the field, type regedit then click **OK__.
      • If a User Account Control* window appears, click **YES.
    3. In the left pane, locate and click the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\YSTEM\urrentControlSet\ervices\olicyAgent folder
    4. Click on the menu Edit > New > DWORD 32 bit
    5. Rename the entry New value #1 which has just been created by AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule and validate by pressing the ENTER key
    6. Right-click the AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule entry, and then click Edit
    7. In the Data Value field, indicate 2 and validate by clicking OK.
    8. Restart your computer.

    __Configure connection to VPN server*

    1. Click the __Start* button (Windows icon)
    2. Click *Settings__
    3. Click on __Network & Internet*
    4. Select __VPN*
    5. Click **Add VPN connection__
    6. Fill in the field with the following values:
      • VPN provider: Windows (built-in)
      • Connection name: as desired (e.g. Home)
      • Server name or address: ***.internet-box.ch (see attached image, no. 1)
*Virtual Private Network Type: *L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key__
      • Pre-shared key: as indicated on your configuration page (see attached image, no. 2)
      • Username: your username as indicated on the VPN configuration page (see attached image, no. 3)
      • Password: your password as indicated on the VPN configuration page (see attached image, no. 4)
      • Remember my connection information: **check the box__

    Good to know

You will probably not be able to connect to the VPN if you are connected to the same network as your VPN server (as your internet box). So test the connection on the go or using a mobile phone that supports tethering.

    Good evening.

    • The address of the Internet-Box is not assigned by DHCP to my knowledge. And since in any case I am able to ping it and navigate, the gateway is at the expected address. It’s just the administration interface that is not reachable.

    • Access to the Internet-Box administration interface impossible

      Good morning,

Since today, I have been unable to access the administration interface of my Internet-Box. The address 192.168.1.1 returns to me:

      Capture.PNG

I am able to ping the box:

Sending a ‘Ping’ 192.168.1.1 request with 32 bytes of data:
      Response from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
      Response from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
      Response from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
      Response from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=1 ms TTL=64

      Ping statistics for 192.168.1.1:
      Packets: sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0 (0% loss),
      Approximate loop duration in milliseconds:
      Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 1ms, Average = 0ms

And I am able to browse the Internet without any apparent problems.

Sending a ‘ping’ to google.com [172.217.19.14] with 32 bytes of data:
      Response from 172.217.19.14: bytes=32 time=6 ms TTL=57
      Response from 172.217.19.14: bytes=32 time=5 ms TTL=57
      Response from 172.217.19.14: bytes=32 time=6 ms TTL=57
      Response from 172.217.19.14: bytes=32 time=6 ms TTL=57

      Ping statistics for 172.217.19.14:
      Packets: sent = 4, received = 4, lost = 0 (0% loss),
      Approximate loop duration in milliseconds:
      Minimum = 5ms, Maximum = 6ms, Average = 5ms

I should point out that I deactivated the DHCP server integrated into the box and replaced it with my own DCHP server installed on a Synology server.

I also tried to connect to it using another computer and even the iPhone app “Internet-Box” is not able to find it on the network.

    • Good evening,

Your two phones (Galaxy S3 mini 18190 and Galaxy S5) share the same connector (Micro-B) and therefore you can easily exchange the cables between your two phones.

      Cordialement.

    • How to activate IPv6 on an Internet-Box router?

    • Good evening,

I am looking to activate the IPv6 functionality of my Internet-Box router, the characteristics of which are as follows:

      Model: Internet-Box
      Serial number: 4.01407F0319732
      Firmware: 05.01.16

I have already activated the functionality at the router level, by activating expert mode and going to the IPv6 tab**.

Unfortunately, when I went to the website http://test-ipv6.com, I noticed an error message telling me that no address IPv6 is not detected. Here are the detailed test results:

      Test_your_IPv6_.png

Would anyone be so kind as to put me on the right path to enabling all of this?

      Thanks in advance!

      • Good morning,

My problem was resolved after contacting support by phone.

Unfortunately I have no explanation for people who may have had the same problem.

        Cordialement.
