    Hello Power Mac

    Thanks also for your answer.

For me it’s all about the laptop. Since I can only achieve a transfer rate of 54 MBit/s with the internal receiver, I would like to try this with a USB W-LAN receiver.

I networked all the remaining devices that are stationary using an Ethernet cable. The labtop is sometimes on the terrace or somewhere else and a cable would be a hindrance.

Sorry, but I’m having a bit of trouble with the “speed madness”

When working with the laptop, you probably won’t notice any difference whether you have 54 Mbps or 100 Mbps or 300 Mbps. With 54 Mbps you can watch multiple HD videos at the same time and still work/surf comfortably at the same time. And whether a photo from the NAS 1/2s or 1s is needed up to the screen, who cares?

Thanks, yes they are some from the last offer.

While I’m already asking questions. Returning the IP telephone to the existing telephone installation also works with the associated TT83 to RJ45 adapter, which is supplied with the purple RJ45 cable? Or does it only work if you install the whole thing via the digital socket (the blue one)?

Because a TT83 socket is installed in the sub-distribution of my apartment. The TT supply line is from the UP to this socket. I would then also separate the house installation.

A pure IP telephone can be connected further away to the corresponding base station on the existing LAN.

    E.g. http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/festnetz/devices/rousseau-310.html

The Internet box would have a base station for IP telephones built in to establish a direct connection via DECT for IP telephones, but there must be a good radio connection for this.

    E.g. [http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/festnetz/devices/hd-phone-arosa.html](http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/festnetz/devices/hd-phone- arosa.html)

For analog telephones, one of the two telephone connections must be connected to the existing telephone network in the house on the Internet box.

E.g. a simple cordless analog telephone to the existing internal telephone installation.

    [http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/festnetz/devices/swisscom-aton-cl113-duo---white.html](http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/festnetz/ devices/swisscom-aton-cl113-duo—white.html)

Importantly, the main telephone line, which now goes directly to the Internet box, must no longer have a connection to the internal telephone network.

    Hello Walter

    Thanks for the quick answer.

Yes, the two switches are the predecessors of the one you linked.

The 8-way is mounted in the office, but there is no STV on it.

At the moment STV is still connected directly to the Internet box and is running smoothly.

Then I shouldn’t have any problems if the whole thing runs over 2 switches.

    Daniel

It should work normally, the important thing is that your predecessor switches are the last of Swisscom’s 4-fold offer.

The very first ones on offer were not streaming capable, you’ll quickly see this if the picture on the TV would freeze.

    Hello everyone.

I would like to mount my Internet box right next to the sub-distribution.

Due to the given circumstances, STV 2.0 would then run over 2 Netgear GS105E switches.

Would that work without any problems?

The installation would then be like this: Internet box - on a switch for distribution to all LAN sockets -

Switch in the living room for distribution to Internet box and TV LAN.

    Thank you for your answers.

    Daniel

With this switch at the link below it works without any problems.

    [http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/internet/internet-zuhause/devices/va-8-ports-ethernet-switch.html](http://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/ internet/internet-zuhause/devices/va-8-ports-ethernet-switch.html)

N.B. It also worked with the previous model Netgear GS 105EVC from Swisscom.
