GuidoL Yes, I gave up because of the speed, if only because fibre optic was repeatedly announced and is now actually due to be connected in the near future. When I complained in the past, the speed was reset and then automatically reset because of the bad lines (with copper cable overhead line to the house). The worst thing is that I have always paid for the fast speed.
So others seem to have the same problem with replay.
changed by pe r00t It doesn’t just happen with one film, but with many. Today, for example, on SAT1 Gold at 5.30 in the replay. The film started in the middle instead of at the beginning and when you tried to rewind, the web block came up and it was impossible to get to the beginning. This happens in various channels and films. Sometimes it works properly. However, it is usually delayed and recently, the recording jumps to the next one before the end of the film. If you then want to see the end of the film, you have to go back to the beginning and fast-forward, but this is prevented by the ad block. All in all, this is very annoying. I don’t know whether this is due to my very poor internet connection, which only provides 80 MBit instead of the promised 230. There are often short dropouts. However, there are plans to install fibre optics in the near future (the socket has already been installed, but not yet connected).
Replay recording problems
Replay recordings start in the middle of the film instead of at the beginning and sometimes end before the end and then jump to the next film. In other words, since the last software changeover at Swisscom, it’s been a total mess. Especially since I installed the new TV Box 5 with Android Sch…… on it. I thought it would be better with the Apple TV box and bought and installed that too. But the same chaos prevails here, which suggests that it’s basically down to Swisscom. They don’t seem to be able to offer a usable TV anymore, which is probably related to their advertising ban, which they can no longer get under control. Do you have the same problems?
changed by pe Hello Chrisi,
I don’t want to take away your joy, but I suspect that it will only be short-lived. Because I even set up the accounts again with the Swisscom program so that nothing different than what Swisscom wanted was set up. It worked for a while and then the interruptions came again. This is always accompanied by the message that the server does not accept the password and after a while it works again and then not again. Things have been really bad again since yesterday. But at the moment it’s working again. Nothing helps, it is advisable to get a few carrier pigeons and always look after them well. But please don’t feed them too much, because they have to be fit if you’re a Swisscom customer.

Well, I can’t quite understand your composure and don’t see the email account as pure goodwill that you get from Swisscom for free on top of the package. Anyone who wants to use the offer in business life is pretty much at a loss without a well-functioning email account today, as this is a vital part. He may also want to transmit in encrypted form so that not everyone can read. And that doesn’t work properly at Swisscom either. Email is probably even more important than the web. You could live without the rest that comes with the package, because it’s really just a gimmick and entertainment. Of course, I like to use it and don’t want to miss it, but as I said before, I only use the Swisscom account privately and it’s not that bad, but sometimes it’s still annoying when you get a message too late.
Dear fellow sufferers,
This problem has existed for years and Swisscom is completely incompetent. Apparently they can’t solve the constant interruptions and connection problems to the mail server. It’s not due to IMAP (we’ve been using this in our business for a long time without any problems). I’ve never seen a mail system as shaky as Swisscom’s (also with POP). There is no choice but to live with it or change provider. Since I only use the Swisscom mail account for private purposes, I can still cope with the delays, but if I needed it for business, I would have changed provider long ago.
Well, since I switched to IMAP, I’ve been struggling with connection problems again and again. It doesn’t work at all with an encrypted connection and it doesn’t work perfectly with an unencrypted connection either, even if I make the settings exactly as described and recommended (Mac users with OSX). They are apparently completely unable to get this under control and Swisscom doesn’t care at all, otherwise these problems wouldn’t have existed for years. I don’t want to badmouth everything about Swisscom, but the email thing is an absolute disaster for them. I had to realize that everyone who tells me that they are having problems receiving emails is a Swisscom customer. What a coincidence.
