No-frills XGS-PON router
I’m always looking for devices that don’t have a mountain of features. I would prefer an entrance and an exit. No WiFi, no voice, just a media converter.
Something like Zyxel PM7300-T0 would be great.
Zyxel itself informed me that there is no certification from Swisscom for this. Really a shame! This on the subject of device freedom.
Doesn’t anyone know of a device that meets these requirements?
Thank you very much @Roger G for your efforts! That’s the WAAAAHNNNSIIINNN!!!
Now the DSL is no longer the slowest component, but rather each device itself (and of course the target). Oh, these are golden times…

I have to revise my opening text. The Swisscom systems are right. The line construction had been “misread”. They had on December 15th. signed before the Comco and I signed on December 20th. according to the Comco. At first they didn’t want to build, but then they informed me that our contract had come into effect beforehand and so they had finished building the line. I had not checked this statement. I’m very grateful to them for doing this in the winter when the gardens weren’t yet “pretty”.
Then we’ll all just wait until ComCo has finished investigating and it doesn’t take until next year.
@Roger G The switch from Coax to DSL worked on Friday.
I didn’t receive an SFP module because the sales system doesn’t think I’m allowed yet.
Hello @Roger G,
I didn’t expect anyone to answer me on a holiday. I’m all the more pleased that you took the time to write a long answer and check it in the system.
I’m excited to see what your friend comes up with on Monday.
Best regards and enjoy the long weekend.
P2MP 10Gbit Anschluss blocked
I need to get rid of my frustration. I see from the posts that offers for 10 Gbit are being distributed, are being activated, etc.
In December (BEFORE the Comco investigation) I signed a contract to re-lay and connect a fiber optic connection. The network department did everything and sent me an invoice for several thousand francs. Their legal clarification showed that I would have signed BEFORE the ComCo investigation and they created everything. The line is operational and has the required status is in the system.
Only the department with the Internet service seems to see it differently. I canceled my old Anschluss via cable and now received an Internet box for DSL!!! In the meantime I saw in the checker that I had a 10/10 Gbit line. I also took a photo of it so I didn’t have to keep looking ;-). It’s currently 200/40 again.
The support (including second level for the activations) told me that they can’t do anything at all. They also don’t know who or which team unlocks this “box” so that they can send me the fiber optic module.
I’m looking forward to contacting the legal department when I have to explain to them that the service hasn’t been provided yet, but the network service proves to me that it has provided it. So far all I have is a useless wire. And so the carousel spins.
Does anyone know the service that stands between the network and sales so that I could explain the situation that I signed BEFORE the ComCo investigation and therefore am not a new business or new sale that the ComCo is blocking? Nobody seems to know them.
