@SomehowHuman: As assumed, the normal copper connection was put into operation on Friday, although the fiber optic connection in the system also has more information. You now at least have internet access via g.Fast.

I assume you haven’t received the SFP module for the IB3 yet, or have you been told something specific? Or what was the reason that you didn’t connect the router to the fiber optic socket?

I have to revise my opening text. The Swisscom systems are right. The line construction had been “misread”. They had on December 15th. signed before the Comco and I signed on December 20th. according to the Comco. At first they didn’t want to build, but then they informed me that our contract had come into effect beforehand and so they had finished building the line. I had not checked this statement. I’m very grateful to them for doing this in the winter when the gardens weren’t yet “pretty”.

Then we’ll all just wait until ComCo has finished investigating and it doesn’t take until next year.

@mabu1, Yes, the precautionary measures ordered by the ComCo are still in force. However, Swisscom is convinced that the measures taken since then have complied with its behavioral obligations. The past few months have shown that good broadband coverage is essential in the current situation. Swisscom has therefore decided to restart the commissioning of P2MP connections. This only applies to areas (towns, communities, etc.) in which P2MP networks are being built on a regular basis.

Are the temporary conditions of the WEKO no longer active?

I received an update from Netzbau on Tuesday that Q1 XGS will be available from 2021. But there was never any construction here. Could perhaps be because the SW headquarters is on the other side of the street and there is already glass in the underground car park. And therefore only the internal development will be necessary. We shall see…

Since May 10th, 2021, where construction has already taken place, we have been marketing again and we have to put the data back or update it, since the development of properties continued (albeit slowed down). Unfortunately, this hasn’t happened completely yet, which is why fiber availability is still not visible here.

@foobar The P2MP expansion into the area was never stopped in the context of the precautionary measures ordered by the ComCo. The affected connections were not put into operation due to the order. The precautionary measures ordered by the ComCo are still in force. However, Swisscom is convinced that the measures taken since then have complied with its behavioral obligations. Swisscom has therefore decided to resume commissioning.

At least for me the WEKO requirement is ignored and P2MP is built even though there is no splitter yet (according to Axians)

Thanks for the info @2broesti

Do you happen to know how “expansion into the area” is defined? Do only larger new buildings count? Or single-family homes or existing FTTB locations, which also tend to be BEP-ready?

Thank you very much @Roger G for your efforts! That’s the WAAAAHNNNSIIINNN!!!

Now the DSL is no longer the slowest component, but rather each device itself (and of course the target). Oh, these are golden times…
