This is of course an absolute no-go for me. As a paying customer, I expect this functionality.

Aren’t you a Wingo customer?

You can expect a lot, Swisscom provides a BlueTV app for Android TV. That’s the way it is and it works so far…

I canceled Wingo TV straight away. Didn’t suit me without HDMI-CEC. Now I’m on Zattoo for TV and bought a Blue TV Air subscription for a month as a trial. I actually really like Blue TV Air, even better than Zattoo if the number buttons worked.

Wingo I still have internet and intend to keep it.

Ok, and what about the free TV channels (e.g. Rtl ch)?

And are all pay-tv channels really in SD? Or just the blue film channels.

Because HD should already be included today if you pay. Will it possibly be improved?

maybe it works with an AndroidTV. With the NVIDIA SHIELD PRO 2019, unencrypted channels can be played in HD without any problems. Eurosport works, for example. but not all blue+ channels also sport.

But I don’t know whether Swissscom or nvidia is to blame. HDCP 2.2 is actually supported by the Shield. Netflix etc. is no problem either. But only the blue app has problems.

RTL is one of the special replay channels. They also caused problems.

Well my shield is older anyway…

So if I understood you correctly, unencrypted channels work, but Eurosport doesn’t.

The blue+ channels, however, work.

Replay channels like Rtl CH are not available. Have I understood that correctly so far?

It can’t actually be the shield - as you say, with other apps (Netflix, Zattoo, etc.) HD works without any problems.

I think it’s very good that there is finally an app for Android TV, but basic functions should still be there. HD is actually standard now.

For me, all channels (encrypted, unencrypted) are now running on the NVIDIA Shield TV, i.e. also the sports channels (e.g. Blue Sport1) and the PayTV channels (e.g. National Geographic), but the encrypted channels are all only in SD!!**

That can’t be the case, who really watches SD (and pays for it) in the age of 4K TVs?

I hope that Swisscom or The makers of the app will correct this as quickly as possible, as the app in this form is otherwise a joke.

Apologies for asking in English, I don’t speak German yet, but I was redirected here by one of the users on English forum. I do speak French too

Here’s my original topic.

I have just now tested blue TV app v.5.1.2.019 on my new Google Chromecast 4K with Google TV (based on Android 12) and I’ve had a horrible experience.

The app loses connection and I can no longer stream TV channels, and this happens several dozens of times per hour…

Even menu icons and screenshots of shows/movies can’t load…

Any suggestions? All other apps stream flawlessly and Chromecast is 30 cm away from IB4

I have had similar experiences on Google TV (as well as with the Samsung TV app) and especially with blue TV air free…

The app starts, you select a station, the advertising comes on (because of blue TV air free), after a maximum of 30 seconds the picture and sound stop, but the app still works, if you start the stream again it starts again from the beginning.

I installed the app today and am very disappointed! I didn’t expect that it could replace the TV-Box, but the fact that the channels can’t be accessed via the number buttons is a no-go! Don’t let anyone tell me that my expectations are too high. And more than three months after launch, this is no longer a teething problem…

In general, calling up live TV is extremely tedious! Just select a program using the guide and there is the option “Watch”, “Go to live TV” – that’s a joke!!

The app may still pass as a media library, but live television is dead. You can’t even set up blue TV as a TV input (like Zattoo or Pluto). I had to use a button mapper and sacrifice a button on my remote. And we’ve waited years for this. Bah.

Hello everyone

Is there a useful VPN service/app in the Android Store that can be used on the Google Chromecast so that Blue TV can also be used while on vacation abroad? Up to now I have always operated the Google Chromecast TV via a hotspot with my smartphone where I have the Swisscom VPN. But it would be great if someone knows a VPN provider where the blue TV works so that I can stream using the local WiFi.

I have the Chromecast dongle (with Google TV) and installed the Blue TV app on it.

Everything worked fine until yesterday, now I only see the following when the app starts:

I’ve already tried the following:

- Clear cache

- Force stop / Clear cache / Clear Data

- Restart Chromecast

- Uninstall the app and reinstall it

Does anyone have the same problem? Any other ideas about what I could try? Thanks!
