Bluewin: new subscriptions and new Webmail

Dear Community,

We have updated the Bluewin E-Mail subscriptions and modernized the [Bluewin Webmail](https:// webmail.bluewin.ch/).

3 E-Mail subscriptions instead of 4

**bluewin-abos-printscreen-1620x830-fr.png

**

The basic subscription therefore becomes chargeable. It offers more memory, a revamped and ad-free Webmail as well as the new Exchange function to simplify the synchronization of e-mails, calendar, contacts and tasks on the smartphone. Discover subscriptions

For existing E-Mail customers

All existing subscriptions will automatically switch to the new subscriptions in the coming months. Once the change is made, everyone with an old basic or pro subscription will receive free the new Bluewin E-Mail basic for 3 months. It will thus be possible to test the new functions with complete peace of mind, e.g. ex. Exchange and Webmail without advertising. If you previously had a Bluewin E-Mail basic and used only one e-mail address and less than 90% of 1 GB of memory space at the time of switching, you will automatically switch to the free Bluewin E subscription -Light mail at the end of 3 months.

With the switch of your subscription, you will also have access to the new Webmail.

For new Bluewin E-Mail customers, modernized Webmail and new email subscriptions are available now. Old email offers are no longer available.

Change subscription flexibly

In My Swisscom, you can change your Bluewin E-Mail subscription at any time. For example, by choosing to upgrade with Bluewin E-Mail basic or advanced, you receive more memory space, you can synchronize your account with your mobile easily and you use Webmail without advertising. If you return to the free Bluewin E-Mail light, you must first define the e-mail address you want to keep (main e-mail account) in My Swisscom. Before doing this, make sure to clean your memory space and [save](https:/ /www.swisscom.ch/fr/clients-prives/aide/e-mail/export-donnees.html) your emails.

The changes will be communicated to everyone who currently has an E-Mail basic or pro subscription. You will also find all the information here: www.swisscom.ch/bluewin-nouveau

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to let us know. The Community is also here to help you find your answers.

Cordialement,

JanineZ

maybe remind your developers that there are many other products besides Microsoft Exchange:

- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mail_server_software

- alternativeto.net/software/microsoft-exchange-server

- syloe.com/solutions-open-source-remplacer-microsoft-exchange

because it gives the impression that Swisscom has a contract with Microsoft, whereas: [www.privatim.ch/fr/pas-de-feu-vert-pour-microsoft-365](https://www. privatim.ch/fr/no-green-light-for-microsoft-365/)

Hello

So if I understand correctly, all customers with an internet subscription which currently includes 5 email addresses will see their monthly bills increase by 2.90?

In the future, will internet subscriptions only include one address?

So once again a unilateral increase imposed by Swisscom?

As I already said, a roundabout way of echoing the inflation.

It was a lot of bullshit when Swisscom announced that it would not pass on inflation before 2025, unlike other operators.

I’m curious to see what the Telecoms Ombudsman will say.

Edit:

This also means that the services included in internet subscriptions are decreasing, since until now they included 5 email addresses which will no longer be the case. So a hidden increase in internet subscription prices!

A+

I’m waiting to see the new Webmail to judge the value of the pack at 2.90 per month.

It still allows you to see the 5 mailboxes with a single window (a single login) and no ads.

Compared to using 5 different logins plus advertising to have 5 addresses!

@Hello @JanineZ

Can you please take a look and fix this link below which is not working? I tested with Safari and Firefox on Mac, and with Firefox on Linux.

In My Swisscom, you can change your Bluewin E-Mail subscription at any time.

so, I don’t know in what spatio-temporal environment the decision-makers at Swisscom live, but I work with people for whom it is a kind of nightmare to use online customer account management (like a bit all services of this type… this is not specific to your company).

and I confirm the 404 error from @Doremi

This is a server-side problem… the requested resource being unavailable.

Thanks for the table with the news.

Well we won’t know as we go along if we are automatically redirected.

With only 1 E-Mail address for simplicity, and as I only keep relatively large E-mails (around 200 over several years) and given the number of Mb used I think I would be redirected to free Light.

Will “Exchange” be a new app?

I use the APP most of the time. Swisscomn(news& E-Mail) which will remain without advertising even Light?

More rarely Internet Webmail

@PTT

-… “Exchange” will be a new application?…

NO, this is a protocol (function), see the full explanations on this page

[Bluewin e-mail server – IMAP/SMTP, Exchange, POP3](https://www.swisscom.ch/fr/private-clients/help/e-mail/configure/information-serveur-swisscom.html#acc- oiQ0rA%5Bselected%5D%5B%5D=1)

Exchange
With Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) you can view and manage your emails, calendar, contacts and tasks on the smartphone.

Synchronization: emails, calendar, contacts and tasks
Compatible with the Mail app (iOS) and the Gmail app (Android)
Available with Bluewin E-Mail basic and Bluewin E-Mail advanced

-…APP. Swisscom(news& E-Mail)… will remain ad-free even Light?…

This is not currently specified, but remains very desirable 🙂

THANKS. Given my simple use (but only of this E Mail) and the APP (sometimes internet webmail) I think that Light will be enough.. impossible to know where Swisscom will put us but logically in Light for me (1 address, far from being full).

And at worst, if less well (I use Google Calendar) I could then move on to Basic

Swisscom a shame? yes, a company in which the confederation is the majority shareholder which allows itself to spend millions or even billion to buy Vodafone and others for profit. So we must absorb these foreign investments by asking our loyal consumers to help them by increasing all prices on products that are more than correct, bluemail… ok paying for no advertising…? hotmail? Google and others do you have such insidious mailboxes, on a screen 30 cm high, 20 cm are occupied by advertising to tell us vote NO. but what is swisscom involved in authorizing this ad which is constant in our emails…. pisses us off I vote YES YES 2xxxxx why is this ad not rotating like the main bluewin page…?? ? under the TV also the use of a swisscom box cost a tune…100% increase to reach 9.90 CHF and no one says anything…!! this money goes to developers who certainly do not use bluewin…!!! Swisscom don’t end up like Vetropac….innovate but not just for money…! but for the comfort of users….and sorry but the MSN or google info layout are clearly superior or 100% better than you. To the wise, I want to write to the TSR ABE

Since Swisscom, one of whose shareholders is the Confederation, has the pettiness to change its pricing policy for email addresses (which is really not fair play, given the difficulty and embarrassment that such a change), as long as you have to pay from now on, you might as well migrate your addresses to another Swiss host such as Proton mail or Infomaniak. Not to mention the many others.

For several months, Swisscom has continued to modify its pricing policies for mobile telephony, internet and TV. What we expect from one of the most expensive providers on the market is also stability in customer relations.

Swisscom does not seem to understand this. And even his hotline employees, overwhelmed by claims and complaints, themselves admit to not understanding the management’s policy. A bit as if management were disconnected from reality with out-of-the-box decisions.

I haven’t seen a response to the legitimate request from @Ludov. This means that if we want to keep more than one email address (2 for me), we will have to pay 2.90 in addition to the internet subscription??? (or 2 free subscriptions without calendar/contacts sync if it is possible??)
