Terms of use
The conditions of use describe the Swisscom Community and govern community life on the “Customers helping customers” forum. In addition, the moderation missions are defined transparently and the association with the Swisscom Login is explained.
1) Terms of use
By using this website, the user declares that they accept these conditions of use. We reserve the right to modify these conditions of use at any time, and it is your responsibility to inform yourself regularly – on this page – of any information. Additional terms and conditions may apply if you make purchases via our websites or if you make use of certain opportunities or competitions.
The services of the “Swisscom Community” are based on services provided from abroad and the systems of the company Khoros SA. Use of the “Swisscom Community” implies acceptance of the Khoros Privacy Policy in its most current version.
2) About the “Swisscom Community”
Customers help each other – the “Swisscom Community” allows our customers to exchange ideas about Swisscom products and services. These dialogues may be of a technical nature, in which our customers help each other to answer their questions or resolve their problems in the context of using Swisscom’s offers. But the community is also a platform for exchanging experiences related to Swisscom products and services. The opinions and content posted on the platform reflect perceptions, suggestions and ideas from Swisscom customers.
3) Clients and clients among themselves
The “Swisscom Community” is primarily reserved for our customers and other interested people. However, Swisscom employees are free to take part in the discussions. They are, however, required to (a) indicate very clearly that Swisscom is their employeur, (b) clarify that they are participating in the community in a personal capacity and are not speaking on behalf of Swisscom and ( c) to leave communications and official positions to the facilitators. The “Swisscom Community” is not a platform for sending questions and requests to Swisscom. The means of contacting Swisscom directly are indicated on the contact page.
4) Passive community animation
Swisscom itself passively runs the community; she generally does not participate in discussions. The community leaders essentially ensure that it is used in accordance with the rules (depending on the conditions of use) and encourage a pleasant discussion culture, adapted to Swisscom principles. In the event of (repeated) violations of the rules, the facilitators sanction the users concerned and can – depending on the seriousness – exclude them temporarily or permanently from the “Swisscom Community”.
5) Swisscom Login
Active use of the “Swisscom Community” (discussions, comments, “likes”) requires authentication via the Swisscom Login. Use the same Swisscom Login as for your Swisscom services, which allows Swisscom to establish a link between your activities in the “Swisscom Community” and you as an individual. However, other customers only see the profile information you entered in the community (at least the username you set). Swisscom may, for example, use this link with customer data to contact you in order to clarify issues described in the forum in more detail.
6) Community Rules
- Swisscom makes the community platform available to enable this dialogue between customers. The opinions expressed reflect the opinions of their authors and not those of Swisscom. The following content is prohibited:
- Illicit and unwanted content, namely offensive to honor, slanderous, racist, discriminatory, homophobic, sexist, pornographic, vulgar, harassing, inciting violence, extremist, threatening, inciting hatred, abusive or harmful to any other manner.
- Publications that infringe third party rights.
- Publications presenting no or only little connection with the subject covered, not following the objective “customers help each other” or of an entirely or partially advertising nature.
- Content or files that may impair the proper functioning of the community platform or contain harmful viruses or the like.
- Swisscom reserves the right not to publish – or only partially – or to withdraw entirely or partially contributions deemed unauthorized by the presenters, without consulting their authors. In the event of abuse, the perpetrator must expect legal measures from the persons concerned or the state.
- Each post bears the username of its author. Clicking on a username displays their profile.
- Each consultation of a theme or publication is recorded anonymously. The figures can be found in the overview of topics (consultations).
- Each user has a public profile, where (at least) the username is visible at all times. During registration or later, the user can add additional details about themselves under “My settings ”.
- Users registered on the forum can exchange messages (like electronic messaging). Responsibility for the content of these messages and for abuse is regulated in point a).
- Swisscom reserves the right
- to contact users on an exceptional basis (in particular to obtain additional information when publishing disruptions or malfunctions of Swisscom products),
- to anonymously evaluate the use of the community for statistical purposes,
- to adapt these conditions of use at any time.
- You will find data protection on this subject here.
- We ask all forum participants to report any violations of these rules to the moderators via the “Report illegal content” function.
