The best thing to do is to contact all affected broadcasters and write to them asking them to please adjust their programming in advance. If you check the ARD homepage now, there is nothing about a special daily show - not even on the station. But at 8:15 p.m. “The Bolzano Crime Story” will be broadcast there.

Of course, Swisscom will hardly do this live, but will still have a certain delay simply due to the data flow - but the main source seems to be the broadcasters.

And still off-topic: your post sounds to me as if your pulse and blood pressure are skyrocketing due to an incorrect EPG. As far as I know, this data is purchased from an external party.
And I can’t quite understand why, when there has been a RELIABLE special program about Corona EVERY DAY for 3 weeks after the Tagesschau, NO ONE is able to enter it.
Similar for other channels.
If I “watch from the beginning” of a broadcast, it jumps somewhere and I can fast forward like crazy every time.
That annoys me.
If it was 2-3 days it would be okay.
But it’s been 2-3 weeks now and it’s not getting any better.

I think in such a situation you shouldn’t open an office because of a faulty EPG, but rather be patient with those responsible at the broadcasters. The SRG in particular now has to deliver a lot of what the federal government wants “on demand”. This can sometimes lead to panic…

Get in touch with them, they could certainly use someone who can constantly update the EPGs for you. 😂😉

But what you can do: look in the terms and conditions for the points that define that Swisscom guarantees that the television program always delivers the latest EPG, broken down by channel. Once you’ve found it, post it here so we can file a complaint with Swisscom.

As already noted (see above): You are talking about ARD and say that Swisscom is misrepresenting this. But it still applies: If you check the ARD website now (12:19), there is nothing in the TV program this evening regarding a special program. So here’s my view again in 2-3 points:

  • You are therefore demanding that Swisscom begins to correct the TV program itself manually wherever the broadcasters provide this incorrectly. This demand can be made. But I can also find such a demand ridiculous. That’s my view: It’s better to complain to ARD that they should maintain their data in advance (preferably a few days in advance).
  • In my opinion, I would leave it open whether Swisscom should here - see point above.
  • Why it’s a problem if you express your displeasure here: That’s not a problem at all. You can do that. But I can also find it ridiculous for such a triviality 😉. So everyone has their own perspective and that’s a good thing. In the end, it’s neither your view nor my view that matters, but in the end the most commonly represented view/opinion is relevant in Switzerland. And that’s a good thing (at least for me).

I have the same problem too, but when I was at our neighbor’s house this afternoon, it was showing him the program that was currently being broadcast. He is also at Swisscom like me. That means it can’t be the broadcaster’s fault.

    This is nothing other than a really shabby, stupid, lazy excuse from providers when they are unable to fulfill their part of the contract.
    If they wanted fairness, the contracts would also say “You pay up to YX CHF”.
    And if you pay less, then yes, that’s it.

    And do you avoid reliability with stupid excuses?

    Have you ever experienced what happens when the SBB sticks to its timetable with the words “Well, we’ll leave roughly at XX:YY in the direction…”…
    Swisscom doesn’t have to promise me up to XY MB.
    Especially when she knows it won’t work anyway.

    The wishy-washy obligations of SERVICE PROVIDERS (that comes from SERVING and PROVIDING) in their General Terms and Conditions are rather an impudence.

    Do you think a broadcaster is interested if Swisscom demands something? Little Switzerland is getting upset. For example, Pro7, SAT1 etc. will surely act immediately? 😂
