Because we rarely change for more!
And since last summer the EPG has been of really poor quality…
Yeah except that last year until the end of the year it was still the old program broadcaster!
We must stop hiding our faces, Swisscom has been doing shit since this change of supplier, which began in stages last summer.
Just look at the number of complaints in the topic: [https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Chaînes-contenus/Amélioration-des-data-de-programmation-sur-blue-TV/td-p/675181/page/7] (https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Chaînes-contenus/Amélioration-des-data-de-programmation-sur-blue-TV/td-p/675181/page/7)
But, obviously, Swisscom doesn’t care much about customer satisfaction…
A very simple example:
Before, we had the 10-day EPG that was always up to date. Now it’s 7 days at best.
And to fill in the missing days, the system resumes the EPG from 6 months ago.
And if I am so affirmative, it is because I programmed the series recording of City on a Hill on Canal+. Well, every Monday I have two recordings of episodes 1 and 2 of this series showing up in my recordings.
But if I go to watch them, I of course watch the program that was actually playing on that date.
Canceling and rescheduling this recording didn’t change anything since it still appears in the EPG to “fill in” the missing days.
It really looks like amateur work…
thank you for these always constructive contributions 😁
unfortunately it is not the EPG / TV-Guide / Metadata that we mainly watch
yes it is useful, necessary, essential and beyond doubt for some
but what matters above all is the quality and diversity of broadcasts: films, series, information, etc.
which must be the essential objective of an operator or content broadcaster
then it is possible to compare by weighting all the criteria according to the requested needs
stupid question:
is it better a fantastic EPG, clean in order, always up to date, the 8th wonder of it?
or a broadcast quality, a plethora of choice for everyone, easy access everywhere?
therefore thank you for thinking about the essentials and stopping the counter junk 🤑

I also thank you for your flood of constructive responses 🤐
Concerning the EPG, it is clear that it is not the most important.
Personally, I’m not interested in the details of the shows and the actors, but the broadcast time of a program is essential data. And if it is not announced correctly then how to schedule a recording for example?
Now, we can still express our disappointment in the face of a service whose quality is deteriorating. I remind you that a year ago we weren’t complaining about the quality of the EPG.
Today, I pay the same price as a year ago for poorer quality service and that is not normal.

Fortunately you are here to tell us what is essential and what is not…
Therefore, please avoid preaching throughout the post 🤑
Should I ask the question again: when will we have Arte programs without interruption again? Regularly, each week, those of Monday and Tuesday of the week in eight only appear late….
However, I have a new “gem”: spelling mistakes… Read carefully and find them! It’s still a shame!
Sorry if the images are a bit mixed, but the layout is not easy….
P.S. I had a new surprise when I opened my account: I had.. 101 unread messages!!! All because yesterday I didn’t consult the community…
@Anastasie The same problem with the 101 messages is also discussed on the German-speaking forum, but it is not yet clear why this appears like this for some users. If there is anything new on this, I will let you know.
Agus fágaimíd siúd mar atá sé
Gaeilgeoir - Thank you very much for the information.
There are really weird things happening. Following your response I wanted to “read” my unread messages which were only two left, but in fact, you and the 7 others who are supposed to have responded to the subject are invisible and never received… Only yours where your name is the only one I received! Another big Swisscom mystery!!!
I already had “101 unread messages”, but as I thought it was my imagination, I didn’t react!!!
Hello @Anastasie,
There has apparently been a bug for 1-2 weeks. I also have 101 unread messages quite often. But when you go to read them and leave them without having found them, the announcement of these 101 ghost messages disappears.
You don’t have to worry about that.
Cordialement, Prelude
It seems that the defect I mentioned Under “Post [32](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Cha%C3%AEnes-contenus/Erreurs-dans-l-EPG-sur-TV-BOX -et-l-app-WEB/m-p/701706#M6751), 13.03.2022” repeats for each notification… According to the summary of responses received, each response is double, one not indicated in the letter mentioning the author + X other people not appearing… and then disappearing.
Weird, strange…
Recurring message when trying to send this message:

No idea what I could have done wrong…
@Anastasie - Invalid HTML tag problems occur when copying/pasting from a WEB page to another WEB page. Typically if the “Post 32, 03/13/2022” has been copied from the header of a response, this copy contains a lot of invisible additional instruction code which is pasted into the new entry, still invisible, but which is not necessarily accepted at this new location. To get an overview of the complexity of a WEB page, right-click in an empty place on the page and from the drop-down menu choose “Show page source code”. It’s very complicated 😉

@DanielD- Many thanks for your explanations. I actually copied and pasted!!!
I think it’s the word “beacon” that intrigues me the most… I thought it only had a link with navigation and I’m not even sure… So - and thanks to you - we learn something every day!
Many thanks again for your patience.
@Leyla- I am speaking to you because you regularly answer our questions. Please refer to my comment (which was already a repeat) from March 13, 2022 (the exact time has disappeared again) which asked when we will have uninterrupted Arte programs again.
I know it’s not the only channel that has “holes”, but for Arte it seems that the problem started when you changed your program provider. As already pointed out, what is curious is that the programs in the German version are available without interruption…
Many magazines tell us about interesting programs for this channel, but for a few days each week it is impossible… although it would be so practical to be able to schedule the recording immediately…
Many thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. At 8 p.m. Sunday, I just noticed that the display “error” repeated Monday evening during the rebroadcast of the series on RTS Deux.
@Leyla - What to do? The press spoke extensively about the broadcast this Sunday evening, March 20, 2022, on RTS Deux, the story of the Montreux Festival and its founder, Claude Nobs. This broadcast will be done in three parts. Why not have continued to give the same title to the 3rd episode which is likely to be isolated in the list of recordings? In any case, it’s already like this if you do research in the programs (via the little house).
It’s Sunday and I think the people responsible for the EPG are not there… Will it be possible to make the correction after the fact so that the three episodes are together? This would be more logical and surely appreciated by people interested in this type of program… Thank you in advance.
