And another personal thought (without wanting to initiate a fundamental discussion): Since many people in my environment are switching to providers like Wingo and household costs are constantly rising anyway, I’m also considering a change - I can no longer gloss over the subscription prices in all respects ". However, a functioning RCS or at least a clear orientation/planning in this direction would be a strong argument for staying with Swisscom. Conversely, if a provider introduced RCS, I would probably be strongly inclined to switch.
Hello everyone.
I have a Pixel 9 pro xl and I can use it to send pictures etc. to other Andoid devices via RCS. Unfortunately, this does not work in the direction of Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro. Too bad Apple and I really regret that I still have to use WhatsApp. I hope it will be made available to the Apple community soon.
The fact that it works with Android is due to the Google Messages app. Google runs these SMS via its servers and not via the provider. Many providers, at least in Europe, do not support RCS. That’s why it usually doesn’t work across ecosystems. The ball is in the providers’ court.

DonInfinity according to the shop in Aarau, an update should be released in autumn
Really? That would be nice….
I’m on Android (Sony Xperia 1 VI) but compared to anis on iOS, it would be nice to finish the RCS access for iOS since Apple has made its way on its side (end of 2024). Anyway, since the end of iO.(Swisscom) , I’ve been using Swisscom E-Mail, SMS/RCS and Messenger (because of Facebook) so I don’t want a multitude of different systems and SMS(RCS) are native in mobiles (and very useful for login verification, bus tickets….)
By the way, WhatsApp and Messenger will still be compatible by 2025.
