Hello @Dustin

You can check under Apps in the home menu whether the Google Play Store is available.
However, this is an update that you get because you have to do different things.

So if you’ve never been asked to accept the Google Terms of Service, you’ll almost certainly still be on Android AOS and not Android AOT.

Hello Stephan_76

Thank you for the message 🙏

The Google PlayStore is not available there. Ok, no update yet in this case.

Yes, there are different people on the TV, so I don’t know if someone has already clicked through the update 🤣 the same with new channels, I usually find out about it casually 😅

Can I influence when the update comes or will it just happen, at some point?

Yes, there are even current models only see BLACK picture since UPDATE 6.1 Swisscom TV

As soon as the BOX goes to 4K there will be BLACK PICTURE! I really don’t know what the IT people are doing

thought about it or how little it was tested before such an update comes out

BETROVENER TV also has JVC with 4k and 3x HDMI ver2.1!

The TV box (21) is connected to a WLAN-Box via Ethernet, and this is connected to the router via WLAN. The laptop via WLAN on the router. Until now I was able to play images on the TV-Box using Windows Playback. This meant you could, for example, look at holiday pictures or something similar together on the big screen without much effort. Since the update, the option in Windows playback: TV-Box is no longer available.

Ideas?

Thank you very much.

That’s right, I’m being paid by Google for this. That’s why I’ve been a millionaire for a long time. Keep dreaming… I only speak what corresponds to the facts. The reasons why you have to agree to the Google Terms of Use are as follows… Please pay attention. It is updated from an old to a new Android version. For purely legal reasons you have to accept the terms of use here. In principle, everyone has agreed to these Android regulations for a long time, because Google’s Android has always been running on the speakers. A Google account remains optional. You don’t have to register! That’s just a fact, whether you want to hear it or not. Anyone who still has a problem with this does not agree to the provisions, but can no longer use the TV-Box and must look for another solution from another provider. The same applies to those who find this Swisscom experiment too expensive, as you put it. Everyone can do it the way they want. You just have to act yourself. Because nothing comes from nothing. It’s that simple.

Oh man, does it never stop?

Help, the world is lost due to the new update. This is the gateway for the alien invasion. Nothing is like it used to be, etc…

If something doesn’t work, contact support. They help quickly and competently. And as I said, otherwise just change provider. But certainly don’t spread such insinuations here. This does nothing for the community at all. You should be able to help yourself here. Everything else looks at the Swisscom report.

But please not here in the chat.

Thanks.

Just because you don’t accept all the crap that Swisscomm wants to force on you, you are labeled a conspiracy theorist and out of touch with reality.

Just like you call into the forest, that’s how it sounds back.
If you don’t want the update or are not happy with the update, you will have to look for another provider. But remember when switching, practically all providers have TV boxes with Android. Just like the Swisscom boxes have always run on Android. In any case, I don’t know of any providers (except Salt) that don’t use Android.

If you knew where Android or Google was… Uiuiuiui

I’m just saying all the advertising all over the websites.

@“x”#218712I know very well where Google is snooping around and misusing our data.
And yes, I will take your tip to heart and leave Swisscom, but it’s unfortunate that I can only get out of the contract after seven months. Apparently you just put up with everything Swisscom does. Like suddenly charging extra money for replay even though you’re already paying for it.

Or you have to pay 99 Stutz for a TV box whose real value is not 5 Stutz and which, after 3 days of fiddling around, countless resets and all the well-intentioned tips from this forum, still doesn’t work properly. Finally, additional costs for the email.
If Swisscom were cheap now it wouldn’t mean anything.

Hello @Martel1217

I guess it makes no sense to write anything else, but I’ll do it anyway:

1. For me the price/performance ratio is very good thanks to the promotion.

2. The replay thing is a legal matter. Swisscom must pay suissedigital a Betrag of up to 7 francs per subscription for all customers. You also pay to skip/fast forward ads with other providers. You are welcome to complain to suissedigital.

3. The additional costs in email can be avoided very easily. You can forward the emails to another address so the storage problem = 0, or you can use a mail client and store the emails locally. Then they are no longer all on all devices. You can be satisfied with bluewin Light.

But it’s just easy to complain about Swisscom.

So now I definitely won’t discuss it with you anymore.

That’s nonsense, of course. I was referring directly to your previous post because you claimed we were paid here.

We are of course allowed (and regularly use this opportunity) to openly criticize Swisscom here.

If you are looking for tracking-free services, there are excellent organic alternatives in CH. Repeating yourself here will do nothing for you or the community.
