From today, the new TV-Box 5 is available. đź‘Ź
Thank you @Tubelectroniks, for your feedback.
Did you use the HDMI cable that came with the box?
If the reboots are not enough, a RESET is necessary with a pointed object inserted for no more than a second into the small black hole.
What brand and model of TV do you have?

Hello
Did you use the HDMI cable that came with the box?
No It’s a high performance cable from Digitec (which goes very well with the old box 21)
The problems are more in the transition between Goolge Tv and Swisswcom Box functions
Example:
- you press the Google button and its button without doing anything
- You go to integrated Googlecast and you come back message no more TV signal (reboot)
- I will try the reset
- when switching between Google and Swisscom the display can take up to 4 seconds before returning
But I think it’s more a youth illness

Precisely, you insert the cable supplied with the box that you just received please, because it is different from the others. There is no point coming here with problems if you don’t use this original cable. I have this box connected with the new HDMI cable, and I haven’t encountered any major bugs.

Well, it seems that we have a little genius with Doremi….. So, I have 2 of box 5. One connected by wifi, the other by direct network cable to the router. Both connected using the HDMI cable provided. In the end, unexpected restarts, Google search runs in vain, when I press menu, it takes ages to display the menu…
Poorly/poorly finished product!
So, we come here if we encounter these kinds of problems. This is what a “help” forum is for. You have something constructive to say to help: great. Otherwise you abstain.
Cordialement.
Hello
FYI, the reset after the first installation seems to have done some good
The apps don’t react the same way, for example channel plus asks me for the country after the second reset..
The HDMI cable is the same as the first try. (It is already a High speed and Ethernet cable)
I give my feedback here and I see that I am not the only one to have this same type of problem.
I will let you know what happens next
The brand of the TV is LG, but I don’t think the problem comes from this side, but rather from the side of the integration between the SwissomOS part and Google TV.

It would be nice if @Tubelectroniks and @MonBug111 told us what brand and model of tv they have.
This might help developers.

2 Samsung TVs on my side… so standard I guess. But I echo what @Tubelectroniks mentions…. The box itself seems to work pretty well. It’s really the Swisscom app that seems to be poorly integrated into Google TV, and riddled with bugs.
@Stéphane.phill: yes it seems… It’s really Swisscom OS on the box, but with the Google Store and Apps. With a Google Preferences menu within the Swisscom OS preference menu.
@Prelude @Gaeilgeoir Hello
Have you noticed any slowness, bugs or unexpected restarts?
@Gaeilgeoir, have you seen people on the Swiss German forum reporting this kind of problem?
Hi @Doremi I don’t have this kind of problem and I haven’t seen anything on the German-speaking forum since yesterday’s roll-out either, we’re mainly talking about sound problems with the corresponding audio systems. But we will see in the coming days what happens. But I can advise everyone to use the supplied cables, no matter how high-speed the others are, but they are not the same. I also had some problems at the beginning with the Swisscombox 21, because I was using the same cables as the previous model (UHD Box), only after switching to the supplied cables did things improve.

Before it was simple, now I wonder why you have to call Swisscom (45 minutes!) to give an old Box that you paid for to someone who has an older one…
Even with a Hard Reset, the Box keeps the memory of my Router so they have to completely deactivate it at home so that it can be accepted elsewhere.
And you have to call back to return the 5 to your home since they have been deleted…
@PTT Hello
How did you do the hard reset of the old box?
I’m asking this because I’m wondering if you did the reset still using a cable connected to your router.
When Box 21 came out, I associated it with my router, and on the screen, a question arose: Do you want to add it for 5 francs per month more or replace it with an existing box? I chose to replace it with the new Box, while the old one, an IP 1400, was reset using a paper clip on the back, without any network connection, and the person who received it did not had no problem.
