Adblocker im Internet: Das solltest du bedenken

Too bad it is not possible to remove the immense, horrible and uncomfortable Swisscom advertising in this way, taking up ⅓ of the screen, when consulting Bluewin emails via a browser!

(…I know, I know, ’yaka download the uncomfortable app or give Swisscom more money to avoid it! 😐)

When the cash register fell yesterday, it was not mentioned that subscriptions up to CHF 30 per month are cheaper if you have the corresponding subscription from Swisscom and in this case the cheapest price is for the mobile subscription “L”, which also includes 4 multi-devices are.

I have not found this price for CHF 69 for the same services from any other provider.

It’s difficult for users: on the one hand, the revenues inherent in advertisements bring in benefits to service providers, on the other hand these same advertisements annoy customers. Where is the happy medium???

Good evening - I already knew that. I’m also in favor of advertising so that others can earn money. But sometimes too much is too much, namely when you can no longer read emails completely because of the advertisements. It’s up to the provider or their employees. Could be better with AI. Hopefully. LG from Central Switzerland. LG ar.

Could be better with AI. Hopefully.

I don’t know… I prefer a banner that I can simply block away 1000 times more than having an AI scan my emails and then plant advertising perfectly in the running text.

At least I could then filter out the AI-generated advertising using an AI ( or something 😉

According to yesterday’s cash drop, Swisscom is by far the most expensive option.

That’s not true if you don’t just compare the price, but also compare the actual services. You have to think carefully about what you need before signing a contract.

  • I need 4 SIM cards with the same phone number for 4 devices
  • I need unlimited data, calling and SMS across Europe
  • I need the best quality mobile phone network (e.g. 5G)
  • I need the best voice quality when making calls (no echoes, crackling, etc.
  • I don’t need unlimited calling to the USA/Canada, but it is included in my subscription.

If I calculate these specifications for different providers, then I get significantly higher than with the Swisscom Mobile L!

With other providers I would have to take out 4 subscriptions and then there would be many additional additions to achieve even close to what Swisscom offers.

With my Swisscom subscription, I only pay just under 25 CHF per device per month.

Unfortunately, in comparisons like yesterday’s box office collapse, a lot is forgotten. For example, M-Budget does not offer 5G and the connections are also significantly slower, which is noticeable (I’m speaking from my own bad experiences with the most expensive M-Budget subscription, which I canceled a year ago after 2 months and returned to Swisscom remorsefully . If you only compare the prices, but forget the important features, you will get results like those served up by the cash register collapse.

Unfortunately, nothing is free unless you pay for it through advertising.

Conclusion: I demand quality and pay for it. At the moment I can only get this from Swisscom and nowhere else. I also only get the services I require from Swisscom and are much cheaper than the competition.

I also use Bluewin Mail, but only to addresses from which the emails are then forwarded and deleted by Bluewin. So I don’t get any advertising with my licensed email program, and I don’t even see any advertising in the web browser from Google, because I only use the Brave browser, on Windows PCs and Android.

Hello everyone, for my part I have been using the “WEB VIDEO CASTER” application for several months which I recommend to my loved ones because it has multiple integrated functions including a completely free ad blocker, just click on it. simply activate it in the application settings.

On the other hand, this main function is to be able to stream on all platforms, for example you can watch a video without advertising, simply by playing it from the application by simply sharing from YouTube, then selecting the application without streaming.

Otherwise by selecting your television screen or other platforms you stream by selecting the quality of the desired video selected, without advertisements it is guaranteed.

Pass on the tip!

😆 @ Prariohe 60 from Freithippu 41 😆 among us - 😆 - Kassenrutsch (fall of the cash register). Bad calculation. I bet that AI can overcome this hurdle too…. 😆 Writing will then no longer be necessary…. 😢.

I use Pi-Hole at home. When I’m on the go with my smartphone, VPN (WireGuard) home, where Pi-Hole blocks web and teacking DNS requests.

Pi-Hole blocks 40%-50% of DNS requests.

by the way, I remind you that Firefox and Edge have an anti-tracking system allowing you to block certain advertisements:

and regarding the installation of a plugin, for security reasons (without this being a panacea), it is preferable to download it from the application store of your browser.

I use AdBlocker on YouTube, which allows me to listen to music without ads.

As mentioned below, Swisscom Mail is also a bad example of exaggerated advertising. Luckily I can read my emails through Edge / Courrier, where I can read a whole page without ads.

Set up the Raspberry Pi as a PiHole, the Rapsi fits so perfectly into the IP1800 housing that you can see the (unfortunately red) LED from the outside 😄

Here is a very good guide:

Is there not a way to integrate a function into the Internet Box? This function is present in the Ubiquiti Dream Router for example.
My UDR failed me and I put the Internet Box back on…

I have to say that this function was really top notch. Now I find myself with a lot of advertising on the browser and it’s quite heavy when visiting the web…
