I also hope that consumer associations will react given that this potentially concerns hundreds of thousands of people in Switzerland. Apart from the way of doing it, I find that Swisscom is exaggerating, how much is worth being able to advertise to hundreds of thousands of “captive” people.

Plus, you call me familiar… it’s rude!

The people who speak to me informally are either friends or people I respect. You do not fit into any of these categories and are not ready to fit into them.

Here you are on this forum where everyone speaks informally, read the following rules, please thank you.

If you think I’ll pay to not have an ad! 🖕and why not do the opposite for the advertising message.

We pay a subscription in order to receive advertising, if I understand correctly. May he give us the opportunity to stop receiving this stupid advertising that is stupidizing us.😡

This is a “Customers helping customers” forum, unfortunately we can’t change that. But as an alternative (in addition to the subscription at 1.90 per month), you can use an email program (Thunderbird, Outlook), then there is no advertising and the programs also have better functionality.

@sebchrist Why twice? until now it was free with no ads. Again, we are just customers and we are concerned too. Of course, you can also change provider, you have to think about it carefully, it could well be that many things will soon no longer be free.

Hello everyone,

…At home, the new advertising banner recently imposed in browsers by swisscom for bluewin emails easily takes up ⅓ of my screen (!!).

I can understand (without approving!) that swisscom would like to have more money from advertisements and thus force us to support them, but the size taken by the space dedicated to them is really enormous and compromises effective use of this tool .

-> Does anyone know how to initiate a petition, easy to fill out, in which all swisscom customers disappointed by their mercantile policy could mention it to them?

It seems to me that the more of us there are who disapprove of this, the more potential we will have to make them correct/reduce this nuisance.

PS:
For people wishing to respond to this post (thank you!), I would like to point out that I already know the “external” messaging systems such as outlook or thunderbird that there would only be employer to avoid these huge banners! (…It turns out that I cannot, however, install them in all the places where I work and that I am then forced to use a browser!)

Thank you for your constructive feedback!

Good morning,

I don’t know how to initiate such a petition, but I’m happy to sign because it’s really bullshit. I’ve been with Swisscom since I got my first cell phone and I can tell you that it’s been a while but I’m seriously thinking about canceling and moving on.

Waiting for the petition!

Yours sincerely

Letizia

Thank you, yes I actually see nothing, whereas, if I go to the Internet (webmail) there is the future location of the ads (banner at the top and above the 1st message)

Of course we already pay enough Swisscom and 1.90 is petty. But the Basic that we have with any complete TV, Mobile, Internet offer, I will continue with, because I use it in 90%. cases the application and not an email client.

All the same satisfied, and in any case the ads have almost the opposite effect on me than the desire to buy….

Really formatted response……🤦🏼

We never said that Swisscom had no right, any bistro can increase its coffee from 3.50 ChF to 5 if it wishes (and if it wants to lose its customers).

Just that it’s a petty CHF 1.90 and that advertising is useless except for a small percentage of people who are impressionable.

Sunrise or Salt could do any ad, I would stay with Swisscom which I support (TV, internet, Mobile) the same for everything else (vehicles, insurance, food, etc.)

But no question of paying, nor for the futures on Swisscom TV.

I also use the excellent Blue News application more with ad-free email (rarely webmail on computer).
