Uh please don’t confuse Tamedia (tx group) with ch media. Both groups manage brands with trash, but only one of them almost exclusively 🙂

By the way, advertising-financed broadcasters understand their UHD upgrade like this:

• from March 8, 2022: 3+ UHD, 4+ UHD and TV24 UHD (the replay and recording functions for these channels are only available on the HD channels)

Personally, I would watch an NLA game if it was convenient. But otherwise these channels have zero relevance for me.

@Tux0ne was clear, they probably think that you only watch the channel and therefore the advertising live because of UHD (even if it is usually only upscaled)?

I’m just saying wishful thinking.

The channels may only be of interest to me during live games, but my famous finger twitches on the remote control when there are advertisements!

From today onwards, the channels mentioned should be available in UHD.

I don’t see anything about it yet.

Yes, I had to activate the channels in my own channel list. They do not replace the HD channels.

Hello everyone

For me the channels remain as not activated:

Reason replay not available…… -> it would certainly be possible if you watch a UHD channel and then go to replay, that you would then get the HD stream.

So I would now have to keep 2 of the same channels in the list, but I don’t do that.

@Lori-77 I feel exactly the same, I have the channels at the bottom of the list. In addition, you can’t even switch on these channels using a voice command.

With RTL UHD I still somehow understand it because it is the original UHD channel from RTL Germany and only shows a few programs, otherwise the still image.

But on 3+, 4+ and TV24 the program is identical, and can certainly be done as it used to be, I already mentioned it twice here, on Eurosport 1 HD, when it switched to the SD version in the replay, and you can still do that could pause the channel or watch it via replay.

As it is now, I will only switch on the channels once during a live sports event, but that’s it. Replay is enough for the farmers, because with advertising and this M. Fritsche it’s unbearable ;-)

I thought the broadcasters had reached an agreement with the television providers regarding replay? Was there another clause that wasn’t communicated, or why is the replay missing from UHD?

The industry agreement on who does what, how where, is not very transparent for outsiders.

But since these channels are not freely available, the broadcaster can conclude individual contracts for their interested customers. Replay will be out of the question.

Personally, I don’t care. I can watch the channels for free via blue TV OTT without paying a single cent to Swisscom (perhaps you would want to earn something with advertising, but that doesn’t work for me…). Thanks. That’s enough for me at best for a match. Otherwise I’m not interested in the channels.
