Cisco Switch IOS (XE) und IGMPv3

    • Hello everyone

    I plan to buy a used Cisco switch with IOS (XE). Importantly, not a small Cisco Small Business Switch with Webgui and stripped-down CLI but a “real” Cisco device. I have already found information on how to configure IGMPv3 snooping for the small business parts, see below. Does anyone have an example of how to do this on IOS (XE)?

    I’m familiar with IOS, but I’ve never configured multicast for Swisscom TV.

    • I don’t have a concrete example of this because I don’t use Cisco anywhere. But here you have the commands )

      It also depends on how you want to set it up exactly, VLAN etc.?

      Basically without VLAN.

      Enable IGMP snooping globally

      Enable IGMP fast leave

      v2 is enough!

      Nothing more is needed at the L2 switch level. L3 is of course a different topic.
