@Seppl17

Just because a company uses fruit to be composted as a logo doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good!

This manufacturer in particular is the leader in patronizing customers.

Sorry, but I just can’t hear the name anymore since he’s taking his competitors to court and burying his own corpses in the basement.

It’s also a good thing that you like dark mode. I have no problem with that at all.
I just think that it is easier, especially for older people, to read black text on a lighter background and vice versa.

Maybe you can explain to me why no (or at least very few) internet sites are set up in dark mode?

In any case, I have not yet received a response to this request from Swisscom.

Thanks.

I am 57 years old and wear glasses. For me, dark mode is much more pleasant and easier to read. There are internet sites that are in dark mode, but few, you’re right.

Who/where are the customers who are allowed to test something like this? I’ve never stumbled across anything like this on Swisscom TV.

For me it’s not about taste, but about readability. Ask the experts whether your new design from the 80s is really easier to read and perhaps even healthier for the eyes.

And if so, I suggest you submit a request internally to Swisscom that the Community Forum be converted to black with white font.

And one last question: Why was it possible to switch to dark mode in the previous release? Thanks

We regularly carry out various user tests and customer surveys. Of course, we are careful to analyze the customer base with regard to socio-demographic factors such as age, language region, etc. and thus be able to recognize differences.

---

At the time, it was relatively easy to convert a light design (with small, self-contained images) into a dark mode. should always be easier. This was still quite possible with EOS 3.2 with the light design, although the dark design still had clear weaknesses.

With the fade-out effects and large images now used, it would not be possible to create a light screen (overlaying images with white) without unsightly side effects/displays.

In general, the implementation of a design is always aimed at offering the best possible experience. We are consistently continuing along this path with the dark design. Also aware that never everyone is happy with design changes. thank you very much for the answer.

I’m looking forward to the internet presence in dark mode. Until when can/can I expect this?

As usual, we will publish information about new functions or adjustments when they are ready. So if this happens, community users will be the first to know.

But you can see the actors. Click on “More Info” below. Then the actors appear and I have to say, I like that and it’s a significant improvement. Sometimes you can even see a photo of the actor next to the name. That’s great.

I didn’t expect such an arrogant answer from Swisscom! Do you see it that way too?

I’m just wondering why it took so long for the SC to announce this since they don’t seem to want to give any other option.

With Swisscom I feel like I’ve been transported back to the times of the Soviet Union.

Can you explain to me how you conduct surveys regarding Swisscom TV?

In the community, or where?

OS3.2 is/was a stable release. make this available to choose from,

or the Soviet Union.

I don’t know the details, but in general it can be said: Surveys about our products are carried out at regular intervals through personal, telephone and written surveys.

I do, that is exactly the respect that SC shows its paying customers.

That’s exactly how I feel right now: “The main thing is the numbers, I don’t care whether they can use it.”

I think it’s been known since last November that EOS4 was coming in dark mode, there were enough pictures and communication about it that almost everyone should have known what was coming.

@Seppl17

and why exactly did you know that? How did Swisscom conduct a representative customer survey regarding dark mode to determine whether the majority wanted it or not?

The community forum for this is hardly very representative?

Show original language (German)

It was announced here in the community and I think also on the Swisscom website last November with detailed explanations and photos, so I knew what was coming.

Do you really still believe in the stork? SC has never, ever conducted such a representative survey; it is simply not the business model of a federally subsidized company.

Show original language (German)

I’ve never believed in the stork, and I’ve never talked about any representative surveys, only that it was announced months ago. If you don’t like it, then write to Swisscom’s GL or cancel your subscription.

@r4s6 how do you know that exactly? Did you do the survey for the SC? Keep the ball flat!!! my recommendation.

@Seppl17

My rhetorical question about the stork actually went to @tulrich, sorry if that came out wrong.

As already mentioned above, there are good reasons not to move away from SC, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t be annoyed about things that SC takes issue with.

@user109

What do I know exactly? Of course, I don’t know for sure whether SC didn’t do a proper representative survey, but that wouldn’t fit in with the other things they just decide. I respect the opinions of everyone here in the forum, but there is no reason to sugarcoat something that we as customers pay for.

@All

I won’t comment any further on this because I think I’ve made my position clear and nothing more is needed. Earlier, an MA from SC clearly wrote that there was no choice, SC decided to do so and only put it online as a preview for you to view, and there was never any question of whether you wanted it or not. Perhaps surveys via call centers would be the right tool here, although very few people would probably take part because they would be misused to attract unnecessary customers.

Hello IvanH,

  • Game rules?

  • You are accusing me of violating the rules of the game!

  • Please explain to me when, where and how I violated the rules of the game.

  • Concerning Darkmode:

  • This dark mode is already 40 years old and is nothing new or modern.

  • When I see your avatar picture, I think that you are not yet 40 years old.

  • From a health perspective, black writing on a light background is more pleasant than the other way around.

  • There are many scientifically proven articles on the internet that confirm this.
