@WalterB

I know the difference between iOS app and Android app. Apple AppStore is currently out as the test app is distributed via the Microsoft App Center.

I also log in to the Microsoft App Center (via Safari browser) and according to the instructions I should now see the iOS version of the test app. It’s just that no apps are displayed and the installation falls flat.

@fdm82 what about Edge for IOS or Chrome for IOS? Maybe it’s because Safari is no longer supported. It’s been nothing but a bone for years…

@fdm82 Do you have the opportunity to try it out with your laptop? You can then download the profile and send it to your iPhone via AirDrop.

@AdrianW is @fdm82 even recorded as logged in in the system by AppCenter?

You used to get a special link for the test app after registering, but I can’t say whether that’s still the case today?

@fdm82

Did you also receive a second email for the Android version and one with both directly in it?

Only the latter worked for me.

Otherwise I would just register again. Possibly with a clean email address that is not associated with Google, GH, MSFT or Facebook: [https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/5409602/1200-PLC-recruitement](https://www.surveygizmo. com/s3/5409602/1200-PLC-recruitement)

Hello everyone

Thank you very much for your numerous comments. Very cool!!

@Jean-Pierre_Feron thank you very much for the flowers. We are very pleased. We record the inputs. We also find it exciting to start the app straight away or get information about disruptions
@hed yes there are figures for usage. But I can’t post them in the public forum. Ev. I can provide insights at the next Super User meeting.
@moal cool. Thanks. Yes, we still have to optimize the speed. That’s still too slow for us
@Albatros2 thank you very much. I’ll pass on the points. Question bothers you exactly when you write “web link above”?
@Chips wow you installed the app on the iPad. Officially this function is not possible at all. 😉 At least not for Go Live

@DomiP yeah thank you Domi a lot for your mock-up. Brilliant! @Interference is on the radar

@fdm82 I sent you another invitation. You absolutely have to click “Sign up” on the email

It was also asked whether you could upload screen shots. Rather not. Except maybe excerpts. But you can send me a PM. OK for you?

@AdrianW sounds good, thank you for being so responsive to the opinions… You don’t see that everywhere!

I also thought it would be a bit strange if you weren’t allowed to share screenshots with others, but you can in the public forum - but just to be on the safe side.

I’ll try to give some input for this new app below. I’ve been playing around with it for a few hours now and the first thing I noticed is that there’s an enormous amount of work behind this app. Just seeing and experiencing these countless links almost makes you sick. It amazes me that the developers still have any insight into this. I have great respect for this work and it is difficult to criticize it. That’s why it seems important to me that tips and requests for changes are not seen as criticism, but as food for thought.

I think it’s a shame that you don’t have a form with the entire tree structure available so that you can record your notes directly in this form. Sure, that would be far too complicated and would discourage potential testers from even taking part. The result would be correspondingly meaningful.

Since I’m spending the winter in Tenerife, I’m logically not on the home network. Nevertheless, I am connected to my home network via VPN. That’s why I should also be able to access my router via the app. It works without an app.

The help pages are very extensive and informative. Perhaps a search function could be installed there to get to the desired location more quickly.

On certain pages (router energy consumption) not everything is visible on the iPhone screen and the line cannot be moved sideways.

I identified the business products as the weak point. It seems to me that there could be competence problems between the company (for example Swiss Golf) and Swisscom. Only the first point works for me (devices and SIM). Information about the subscription and cockpit do not work. I haven’t tried removing the business number 😉.

You could perhaps place the cookie notice somewhere at the beginning and forget about it afterwards. But perhaps there are legal requirements against this.

Since the app is so extensive, you could consider adding a telephony function. Likewise roaming. Everything could be covered with a single app. Of course, there are certainly users who lose track and find the app too opulent.

In any case, I know that the MySwisscom app is a herculean task and will never please everyone. Too extensive for some, too slow for others and certainly not sufficient for some. A lot of work! Thank you Swisscom!

What might also be exciting would be an implementation of the community in MySwisscom with a kind of “pro mode”. For example, you could make a direct reference to the community under the individual products - this would perhaps also relieve the hotline or WhatsApp support a little and “stupid” questions would not have to be answered 1000 times.

A push notification about discussions would certainly be exciting for members of the community.

The spoiler only contains an idea for further development of the customer center - rather off-topic.

I would like to make another suggestion for the previous discussion with @Jean-Pierre_Feron about the TV app - I think it is more of an off-topic topic but a small suggestion:

Why not a desktop app with MySwisscom? Through clever further development of the web application part, additional functions such as those of the Assistant could be integrated into the native apps for desktops and, for example, the automatic mail setup could be implemented. This would only have to be solved using web technologies and would have to be ported to the specific platforms using Electron, which takes about 3 minutes per platform….

For example, something like this would be possible:

@Stephan_76 you’re right, but also in the Italian and English versions 🤔

What I also noticed is that if I have to log in again and again when the app starts, I have to select the main number again. It’s a bit tedious if you have to do it every time.

Another small flaw is that the icon that is supposed to represent the loading process is extremely large and has the color #008080. A Swisscom blue or red would almost be nicer…

So, I started trying after the holidays and didn’t even get past registering. At step 3 I get the Unknown User message. Is this solvable? Or does it already have enough testers?

Greetings Olli

@Pieldari75 have you already registered for the test? The link was on the first page of the thread. If yes, have you received an invitation from Microsoft Visual Studio AppCenter?

Registration is only open until 1 p.m. today, just as a heads up.

But the question @Pieldari75 is effective, did you register via the form? If so, where exactly are you getting stuck?
