Image stalls

Hello

I watch Blue TV via the app (Apple TV Box). For a few days now my picture has been freezing briefly every few seconds (the sound doesn’t cut out). Only the normal TV signal is affected. Streaming runs smoothly, both via the Blue TV and the Disney+ and Paramount+ apps. I haven’t changed a thing. Unplugging the Apple TV Box for a while, restarting the router, etc. didn’t help. Does anyone have an idea? The box’s software is up to date and restarting it via the app didn’t help either.

Since I’ve been watching BlueTV with the Apple TV box or via the app, I could write a book about all the problems and usually unplugging the Apple box solves the problem (just the fact that the thing doesn’t even have an on/off switch and you always have to unplug the cable, which is extremely annoying). The fact that the thing asks me every time I turn it on whether I’m still watching (of course I am, I didn’t turn it off yesterday) is the least of the problems. I justify the pain with the great signal (UHD, HDR), but slowly I can’t stand it anymore and I’m wondering whether I should install the old Swisscom Box again.

Greetings, Ändu

Just for the sake of facts:

The general problem with the combination of Apple TV-Box and blue TV app is not the Apple TV-Box, but the blue TV app for the tvOS.

As you have already noticed, everything works pretty perfectly except the blue TV app, which also applies to all other TV apps such as. B. Teleboy TV or Zattoo TV applies.

The blue TV app on the Apple TV-Box has improved over the last two years, but its quality is still far from where it should be, and I currently consider it an open question as to whether Swisscom will ever be prepared to make the necessary investments .

The scenario that has been going on for a long time for the blue TV app on the Apple TV-Box is probably more likely: “Too much to die, too little to live”

Hobby-Nerd ohne wirtschaftliche Abhängigkeiten zur Swisscom

Hello Werner

Thank you for the information, that doesn’t sound really good. It’s a real shame that the app runs so poorly and unstable (“oops, something went wrong”……if I got 5 Stutz every time I read this, I’d be rich a long time ago) . After all, the Apple Box can’t do anything about it, that’s good to know ;o). I really hope that Swisscom fixes the problem, because I have absolutely no desire to pay a lot just to constantly annoy myself.

Greetings, Ändu

We have the same problem. Since the update to OS 18 and the latest update of blueTV, the picture on some channels has noticeably stalled. Audio is not affected. I appeal to Swisscom to deliver a fix.

It’s working again for me, I just turned it on normally. Still too much “oops, something went wrong” and “are you still watching?”, but the main thing is that the picture no longer stalls 😄👍
