Yes, it actually has an audio Anschluss on this screen, so the problem doesn’t exist. 😯
It could be that if you connect this part down in front of a monitor without an audio connection in between, the sound will work.

The special thing about the problem is that some people report that it still works. (?!?) Otherwise, I am also convinced that the audio driver was forgotten during the update / does not exist… since the software version was originally made for the latest box without an audio connection… There is already a report of one other users where the audio output on the box no longer works after the update. Technical support hasn’t gotten back to me yet….

Why should there be something special?
Monitor without speakers and without audio output = No sound
Monitor without speakers but with audio output = sound
Roman has clearly written that Swisscom is working on it. Going on about it a dozen more times and making assumptions won’t help.
IT’S NICE IF YOU COULD REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM. SO I WAS ON THE PHONE FOR SEVERAL HOURS ON THE HOTLINE TO EXPLAIN IT. WENT TO THE SWISSCOM SHOP TO GET A NEW BOX BECAUSE NO ONE BELIEVED ME. THE SECOND BOX WAS ALSO THE SAME AFTER THE UPDATE. IT TOOK A LOT IN THE FORUM AND NO ONE HAD THE PROBLEM. MANY SAID IT CAN’T BE. NO ONE BELIEVED ME FOR TWO WEEKS…
IT’S NICE THAT YOU KNOW THIS NOW AND AFTER ALL THAT, I CONCIDENTLY FOUND OUT THROUGH A MA HERE IN THE FORUM THAT I’M RIGHT ABOUT THE PROBLEM. WHAT WAY IS THIS NOT TO GIVE A CUSTOMER WHO HAS THE PROBLEM AND ALSO REPORTED IT AND HAS INVESTED SO MUCH.
WHAT DOES A TECHNICAL PERSON RECEIVE FOR DETECTING THE PROBLEM? SECURE A WAGE…
SO THE PROBLEM EXISTS WITH ALL OLD BOXES AFTER THE UPDATE, MOST NCIHT NOTICE IT BECAUSE THEY DON’T USE THEM WITH SUCH A MONITOR WITHOUT AUDIO. HOWEVER, THERE MAY BE A MAJORITY OF PROBLEMS… FOR EXAMPLE WITH PROJECTS ETC.
IN ANY CASE IT NO LONGER COMPLIES WITH THE SCOPE OF SERVICES AND THE POSSIBILITIES OF THE BOX I HAVE OBTAINED. THIS NO LONGER WORKS BECAUSE OF THE UPDATE.
I’VE BEEN WATCHING TV WITHOUT SOUND FOR A MONTH NOW WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE FROM TECHNICAL SUPPORT AS WAS AGREED. THESE ARE THE PROBLEMS.
IN THE FORUM I SHOULD RECEIVE A DIRECT REPLY FROM SWISSCOM WHEN THE PROBLEM IS DETECTED…
I ask you to reconsider your behavior here in this forum! By the way, capital letters means shouting loudly. We can have normal discussions here, but please not in this way. If you always behave like this, you shouldn’t be surprised if others don’t feel like it! I personally have ZERO desire for this kind of thing! Thanks.
P.S. By the way, your record-breaking posts here in the forum are of no use to anyone. I’m wondering what you want to achieve with this? This won’t solve your problems or questions! The only thing you can achieve is a lock here.
Does Google also want to know which TV brand you have?
Is there a problem with my old monitor after the TV box software update because it doesn’t have an integrated audio output?
If there is to be a new release for this reason; It would be good for fans of the ‘preview function’ (in order not to have to watch the advertisements in a timely manner) (I have never seen this myself; but I think there is a need) if this were taken into account again.
Super! Then I will take this into account. It was only intended for readability and importance for the Swisscom employee who was able to confirm the problem that I have now after a month here in the forum. It shouldn’t have anything to do with screaming. After the update and a month of TV without sound.
I find the behavior regarding the update error and the corresponding treatment of me (after my use) (I have not found out that the error has now been recognized) pathetic. But this has nothing to do with the forum.
If everyone wrote so much, the forum would certainly be more lively! Are there other Swisscom forums? I mean on other topics? (so that this doesn’t get mixed up… - I understand that when it comes to purely technical problems and questions about the update, the forum gets a bit complicated here…
Greetings
No, then an internet forum would be sheer horror. How are you supposed to have such a reasonable discussion? I’ll just say one thing, sometimes less is more. This also applies here.
The forum here is lively enough. Especially lately with a lot of the same posts over and over again. There are other internet forums if you don’t have enough time here or you don’t know what else you can do all day! Tragic, I’ve never seen anything like it here. If I were like that, my problem with updating the TV boxes would honestly be the least of my problems. Have a nice day…
Since the forum topic seems to be new to you: You don’t have to answer every single post.. 😉
The whole thread of posts works like a conversation - what you’re doing is like walking up to a group of people and continuing the conversation from 3 days ago. Without paying attention to what is currently being said.
This primarily leads to confusion and a flood of posts - if you like a post from another user, just press the thumbs up button at the bottom.

Swisscom gave me a voucher in the shop as a refund.
I now use an HDMI audio extractor (optical/Toslink). There is one that hardly takes up any space. The power supply works via USB, so I don’t need an additional power supply. Use the port on the TV Box 2.1 for this.
New Toslink cable approx. 20CHF, the extractor approx. 40CHF. Swisscom contributed around 50%.
