Monthly data

  • I received a text message saying that my monthly high-speed data package had been used up and that the speed had now been reduced.

When will all credit be available again? From what date?

    Thanks 🙂

Do you have an Enterprise subscription? There the speed is throttled after 60GB. If necessary, you can also buy a data package so that the full speed is available again, but it is very expensive! Billing is always done on the first of each month. So if you’ve already exceeded 60GB, you probably need a lot of data?

There is also a throttling with the prepaid standard tariff of 2.-/day. If 10GB is exceeded within 30 days, it will be throttled.

The 1st of each month, i.e. June 1st

Since you probably need a lot more data than you have in your subscription, it would be worth switching to an unlimited subscription, alternatively with the Swisscom subsidiary Wingo, probably cheaper than your current, limited Swisscom Abo

@“x”#119089You’re right, that could be the case too

Although 60GB in 9 days would be almost impossible to achieve even for me unless you somehow use a 5G router as a landline

That doesn’t actually matter. You can’t lure people with cheap prices and then turn off the tap. Of course it’s in the small print somewhere. But 60 GB can be reached quickly, especially if you’re on the go a lot.

@skud then you either have to pay additionally or look for a provider without data limits.

    It’s that simple.

It’s called a free market economy.

    Example:

It’s exactly the same with private use of the company car, and it is exploited to the point of excess. As a company, I have to take measures to restrict access and to get the additional costs for the excess back under control.

There are certainly some who pay very little but give out hundreds of GB of data per month. It’s clear that this is of course a thorn in Swisscom’s side. By the way, the 60GB limit has been in Enterprise’s terms and conditions for a long time, but this has never been implemented or only very rarely. But of course, anyone who uses so much data and puts enormous strain on the network should just pay a surcharge — or look for another offer.
