After a lengthy conversation on the helpline, the change is understandable to me. Since the old blue TV S (5.-) has not been offered to new customers for a long time and only a “few” old customers still have this subscription, it will now definitely be replaced. Unfortunately, this fact was not clearly communicated in the swisscom information letter.

The subscription you want is already on the market:
Okay, it has very small “deviations” from your very specific requirements:
- it is 1 franc too cheap
- unfortunately it is twice as fast as desired
- there are too many TV channels in it, but you don’t necessarily have to include them in the channel list
Otherwise, including the CH landline flat rate, it actually fits your requirements pretty perfectly, although the exclusion of the 7-day replay that you explicitly requested was actually almost the biggest challenge in the short research 🙂
And which provider should that be?
Forcing multiroom (option) from 5 to 9.90 CHF with just one additional TV box corresponds to a “per unit” price increase of over 90 percent. Additionally, the current price increase at Netflix. Imagine that you are a low-user and still want to take advantage of the offers at a reasonable price/performance ratio. What are you doing? Do you subscribe to Premium and buy additional TV sets? Are you happy about the cost reduction for the additional TV boxes or are you rethinking your consumer behavior with Swisscom TV?
@orson82 - me too, what the employee at the subscription service hotline has done in terms of ignorance and zero customer interaction is beyond reproach!
@acaillet then see if there is another provider that offers more speed.
At this speed you are entitled to basic care.

This adjustment is just a price increase!! Not a single customer benefits from this.

I have 4 TV boxes in use. When the new multiroom subscription model was introduced, my Swisscom bill fell by CHF 10.10
I received your letter. It’s an outrageous surcharge for an additional service that I/we don’t have at all
want/will use. As I saw, the additional TV-Box can also be purchased for CHF 99.00.
I would like to buy these because I/we will not be using any other devices. Thank you very much for your feedback.
Kind regards

We are here in the Customers Helping Customers Forum - we are not Swisscom, we are customers like you.
I would therefore ask you to remove your personal data (customer number) again (on the gear wheel at the top right => edit post)
Unfortunately, buying a TV box does not replace solving multiroom - so you would still have to solve multiroom if you want to use several boxes.

We have exactly 2 televisions and don’t want 6, so we find it a complete impudence, actually a mess, that the second television now costs us an exorbitant 98% more (from 5.– to 9.90)
But the monthly Swisscom bill won’t be 98% more expensive - will it?
….keep on rockin' 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
What’s new about this subscription other than the exorbitant rental price. For what do I need a subscription for five televisions in an apartment with two televisions. Dear Swisscom or dear Mr. Thomas Buschor (signed the letter to customers), you are discriminating against a group of people with this surcharge and this is not okay! What’s a two-person household with 5 TVs supposed to do? Does this even exist? But the majority have two TVs. I will be canceling all of my Swisscom subscriptions after more than 30 years.

Yes and OK.
Could have been done before.
Why only resolve this “threat” now?
