I am completely satisfied with this box.
I bought a cat 7 network cable and an adapter to connect it to my iMac using Thunderbolt.
In speed tests, I get 6 GB in download as well as upload. But in the reality of downloads, depending on the site, I am not far from 10 GB when downloading.

also very satisfied with the new generation of the internet-box 😀
adapt the Ethernet cable (cat 6a or higher) as indicated by @Prelude
check the compatibility of the network card (10Gbits/s or more)
throughput tests give values between 7 and 8 Gbits/s with a max of 8.2

Are you talking about the tests in the swisscom internet box app @Black Mamba? Or those like Speedtest or cnlab?
for the first, I have what you indicate.
but for tests carried out by external apps, I get results that are rubbish! Some tests give 1 GB, others 1.6 GB or even another 2 GB. But another seems more reliable to me, finally closer to what I obtain during my downloads, it indicates 12 GB. But the latter indicates 1 GB upload while others give 6-8 GB.

flow tests have been carried out
1. Speedtest application in router management: +/- reliable
2. cnlab Speedtest site not used and yet recommended by Swisscom (!?)

Hello everyone, last year I received the tested internet box 4. I only had a problem once with the internet box 4 router, since then it has been working perfectly, no more problems, it is much better than the old one. internet box 3 router, I hope that soon I will test the new 5 generation router thank you for testing internet box 4 that I have not had much problem only once since I have.
thanks to MichelB for testing the router???
Good morning,
I recently received the new internetbox4, everything works well except access to my external hard drive. I tried with several external hard drives (USB3), but none are recognized by the box. Also with a USB key, same thing.
The box was exchanged today with a new one, but the problem is the same.
Could you help me? I am thinking of an early software problem on this brand new box and may still be poorly configured for this.
The HDDs are formatted in NTFS, blue USB3 socket, I am under W10.
Thanks in advance!
Pete777 Yes, that seems to be the case, in the German-speaking forum, a user writes, and I find it a shame:
"Just for information!
For all customers who previously used the NAS function on the IB3.
This function is unfortunately no longer supported with IB4. It is therefore not possible storage media can be used as network storage.
However, the USB port is still available, but only for the Internet Mobile Connect function."
So far, there has been no opposition from Swisscom.

Good morning,
I have a wired network with a maximum speed of 1GB and none of my devices compatible with 10GB.
I also use wifi on several tablets.
What does the IB4 bring compared to the 3?
Is the IB4’s wifi more powerful, faster…
I don’t know what to think.
Thanks in advance to those who can help me make a decision whether or not to upgrade to IB4
Ricky.
Good morning,
Personally, I bought a wlan box 2 to connect my devices to it in a slightly distant room. But that was with internet box 3. Since I upgraded to 4, I no longer need the wlan box 2. So I find the wifi significantly more powerful on 4. But I don’t have made of measurements. I simply noticed that I no longer have any interruptions on my connected speaker.
