(to occasionally in addition to the program data)

If you take the two three minutes that are always there and then let the EPG “running state” run when recording,

The 3 minutes of key moments at the end of the film or documentary are always missing.

Which is a shame…

Yes, I can also do this with my TV headend, generally I could set a 2-hour follow-up time in the recorder settings.

In the front of the EPG Channel, I could set each channel separately, before/after and/or “EPG Running State”, which then becomes the recorder settings as a priority.

So it’s not the software’s fault… if the data is crooked… I can almost only enter the times manually, i.e. before VPS-VHS recorder times. Even more old-fashioned, really manual. Which is unfortunately the case…

No matter which provider the TV signals come from, the 10 or 20 second delay per provider wouldn’t hurt… in live mode…

That’s life, says the Frenchman

Normally I use KODI as a client to my tvheadend server,

Generally I have 10 minutes follow-up time, one minute lead time

But if they’re so crooked, like 30 minutes off…

Then I have to go to the server with the WEB interface and place a manual order.

All because the EPG data failed.

Unfortunately….

Unfortunately, I can’t use the EPG “Running State” on any channel (all TV channels) because the two three minutes are not broadcast correctly. So I only have a follow-up time of 10 minutes, everything above that is wrong.

If I had 10 minutes of follow-up time and EPG “Running State”, the wrong EPG signal would still stop the film from recording too early, despite 10 minutes of monitored time in the follow-up.

So I can only activate the follow-up time. This is all bad.

It’s not Swisscom, UPC or anything like that that’s to blame, it’s the broadcasters themselves…

Sunrise even has a separate section in the forum dedicated to the EPG:

Films are often shown on who knows how many TV programs. Therefore, I allow myself to ignore some TV programs because at some point the film will be shown on a different TV program.

I also check sports and other live broadcasts to avoid surprises:

This means that my TV program has a complete break during and after:

| Sun, Dec 11 · 8:05-11:15 p.m. · SRF 1Sports Awards |

There were other opportunities to record the film here:

11/09/2022 00:10 - 02:35 HR
October 17, 2022 11:15 p.m. - 1:40 a.m. NDR
October 17, 2022 00:50 - 03:15 SWR
Aug 19, 2022 10:50 p.m. - 1:15 a.m. BR
Aug 5, 2022 10:34 p.m. - 12:58 a.m. 3sat

And it will be the case again next year.

Actually, you’re a bit off-topic… what does this have to do with precise recording time? Are you standing in front of exactly the same Garden of Hague as me as the person taking the first version?

What can I do if tvbrowser, tv.search.ch, zattoo, my tvheadend, all get the wrong data?

You’re at exactly the same point as you were at the beginning…

Over time I know where to expect program changes.

It’s annoying when I find garbage instead of the desired shipment.

The VPS to analog TV era was a blessing ;-).

You’ve noticed what the successor system is like.

There are comparatively few program changes or postponements on the third ARD broadcasters.

Even if it’s not completely ruled out.

I say, it’s like the banana vines in Europe…

They can’t get EGP data out cleanly, and at the right time…

Then I can also emigrate to Hiti, at least it’s warm there… hehe

Even though there are certainly other problems elsewhere than correct EPG data, here is once again an example of the often poor quality of the data. “Lederstocking” is currently playing on Nitro, what can you see in the EPG, a picture with Lex Barker as the Deerslayer (the film is also called Lederstocking - the Deerslayer), which is correct, including the release year 1969, but the film that is playing is from 1957, For the actors, the cast is from the 1969 version, with Hellmut Lange as Lederstocking. All program guides show this correctly, Nitro Teletext too, so how does our EPG data supplier come up with this MixMax, I would ask them as the product manager. There haven’t been a few examples like that recently.

It is simply incomprehensible that Swisscom does not have a better EPG for this subscription price and that all complaints come to nothing!

Another great example is attached. Swisscom has the new Dan Sommerdahl in season 3, but it is season 4.

Why don’t we take the complaints seriously? Do you actually have to go to another provider?
