Something like this is called innovative and customer-friendly

Not complete! I would also add the oh-so-capitalized attributes INTERACTIVE and PERSONALIZED.

@hed

It is not at all necessary to operate 2 OS versions in parallel. All that is needed is capable, customer-oriented programmers, Microsoft and even open source programmers also manage to provide various skins that can still be personalized. There are even websites that make this possible.

(For this you simply have to be willing to give something out of your hands and not want to do everything yourself.)

As already mentioned, these are hardly technical obstacles but rather a question of effort and return. Microsoft can pass on the effort to a few hundred million products/customers, while Swisscom has significantly less.

And I wish that the background stays black.

And my mother-in-law doesn’t want the whole thing to be switchable because for her every configuration item in the menu is one too many.

1 million customers, 1 million different wishes.

I think the black background will definitely not be disturbed. I really like the new look and better than it was when it was white. Even my “better” half got used to it after a few days and now likes it too.

If you can’t handle it, you’ll just have to change your provider.

SILVERMACHINE

Hello Silvermachine

You made a text comparison with light/dark. Can you also offer me the same comparison of my picture?

And please: We are here in the customers helping customers forum, opinions can of course be posted, but demands for implementation have little chance, so you have to write to Swisscom directly.

Stay healthy and

    You see, Tinu, an absolute prime example of why there has to be a monochrome background behind the text. This doesn’t necessarily have to be white, but black isn’t the end all be all either. Even when HTML1 was still used to display websites, it was an absolute no-go to put images behind the text. Things get really bad when there is hardly any contrast left because you also make the selected point light gray and leave the font white.

    Any eye doctor will tell you that this can’t be good for your eyes. And that’s exactly why SC should be contemporary and not just talk about it and make the presentation personalizable. Because this is the only way you can talk about customer friendliness. If you want to damage your eyes, you should, but if you don’t want to, you should be able to prevent it.

    You would probably only damage your eyes if you consumed the guide for hours every day.

    If you want to do something good for your eyes, you should adjust the screen correctly instead of criticizing the guide.

    In many cases, for example, brightness, contrast and color intensity are set much too high.

    @kaetho

    Swisscom won’t change that either.

    Swisscom has previously clarified whether this is an absolute customer need. And the whole thing has to be, otherwise it would just be an internal employee employment program. Black or white, a cheaper price would help more.

    Hello @r4s6

    Thanks for your contribution

    In addition to the UHD box, I also have the old HD box and can choose the light/dark mode myself. (EOS 3.2)

    So far so good. With the new display on 4.0 it will probably be difficult to offer this option. But I am also of the opinion that you don’t spend a long time on the guide page and therefore your eyes probably won’t suffer any damage.

    Personally, I like the dark display, I’ve already chosen this in the HD box,

    but my opinion - your opinion, there is room for both.

    That’s exactly where I don’t agree, what kind of further development would that be if the options are becoming fewer and fewer. That would be like a car manufacturer developing a new version of a model and then saying that it is now a contemporary development, but unfortunately we can no longer offer the feature for rolling down the windows, or even manual cranks, there is simply no room for the mechanics in the modern slim doors.

    Completely agree, there should be room for both opinions (views).

    Hello Roger @r4s6

    I am also in favor of Swisscom taking opinions posted here seriously and the presentation is and remains a matter of taste for the user.

    I just have trouble with demands; it has to now

    You write your opinion, and it also has space here,

    The comparison with the car industry is not the same thing, but my opinion, your opinion

    I can only agree with that. When I first saw the redesigned TV guide, I was literally shocked. So it can’t be true to distort something tried and tested in such a way.
