In addition to @Werner’s comment

The fact that the UHD rollout of EOS4 is delayed has nothing to do with favoring new customers or discriminating against existing customers.

The new box runs on Android O, the UHD box still runs on Android N. It’s also different hardware with new chipsets etc. So it’s not the same, although fortunately there is a lot of overlap.

With several 100,000 customers with a UHD box that has now achieved a high degree of stability, it is primarily important that new software also meets the stability expectations of existing customers. That’s why the rollout will follow with a little delay, namely when we believe that the stability on the UHD box also meets the needs of our customers.

At the same time, it should be clear to everyone that in a new development, resources cannot be allocated to both box types at the same time.

Yes, the USB infrared receiver runs without any problems with the new box and the Harmony Elite.

I therefore assume that the Harmony One also runs smoothly.

Has anyone been able to test whether the new Swisscom Box also works with the Neeo Remote? Or to put it another way, you can use the Harmony to operate the new box in the same setup as the UHD box without having to set up a new device, then this should also work with Neeo (since Neeo has been sold, new devices are unfortunately no longer included )

Not everything is always free. When you were new, you certainly didn’t have to pay for your first box.

I think it’s fair to give away new devices NOT for free, but at a reduced price for loyal customers.

129.- is, I would say, a decent price compared to 200.- or more for an Apple TV box, for example.

A discounted price for loyal existing customers is stupid marketing nonsense. As a loyal Superduper customer, I can get the box cheaper than a non-Swisscom customer? Someone like that can’t do anything with the box.

In addition, you can only lower the price of something for a specific target group that was previously available to everyone at a higher price.

Nobody is talking about price reductions, but rather about reduced taxes. For example, if a product whose cost price is CHF 400 is offered at a price of CHF 100, this is a discount.

Or if you sell a product cheaper than stated in the price list, it is also legitimate to speak of a discount.

But somehow you can’t order them… at least I couldn’t manage it

I feel the same way too. If you click on “Order device” on the WalterB link, you end up somewhere in Kundencenter and can reconfigure your TV options. I haven’t found a way to order the box.

Maybe another programming link error during execution!!

Or the ordering process isn’t ready yet?

On Sunday it will be difficult to catch anyone from the sales department.

Installationen, Netzwerk, Internet, Computertechnik, OS Windows, Apple und Linux.

That’s exactly how I feel: it’s not possible to order!
Not even on the TV, the old UHD box is still offered there!

Hopefully this will change today

Yes, well, if you announce it on Sunday, you should make sure that it works then. You could also have said from November 18th. 😉 But ok, check back later. Apparently there is still maintenance work going on at the shop
