In addition to @Werner’s comment
The fact that the UHD rollout of EOS4 is delayed has nothing to do with favoring new customers or discriminating against existing customers.
The new box runs on Android O, the UHD box still runs on Android N. It’s also different hardware with new chipsets etc. So it’s not the same, although fortunately there is a lot of overlap.
With several 100,000 customers with a UHD box that has now achieved a high degree of stability, it is primarily important that new software also meets the stability expectations of existing customers. That’s why the rollout will follow with a little delay, namely when we believe that the stability on the UHD box also meets the needs of our customers.
At the same time, it should be clear to everyone that in a new development, resources cannot be allocated to both box types at the same time.
