Unfortunately the French forums are full of criticism of the OCS Go image quality. So Lapinou you told your friends that you have to come home early because your show is about to start :-). They will advise you to switch to swisscom TV where there is replay and recording. As Carsten Schloter said: Grandpa’s TV is over…, really…
@Willehalm
I also looked for customer feedback and couldn’t find anything more recent than mid-2016 reporting image quality issues.
Not to mention those for whom the quality of the line was in question.
Are there more recent sources that indicate the poor reception quality of the OCS GO service, following the redesign of the application?
To start,
Hello/hi 😕
Afterwards…
For legal reasons, it is currently impossible to record OCS channels, however, soon (at a date still unknown), in the coming weeks, according to Teleclub, the OCS GO application will be available and will allow you to review OCS programs as well as certain seasons passed on the principle of VOD.
For more details, you should do a search on this forum, the subject has already been discussed.
Finally,
Good day!
Hi…
Last week I contacted OCS support to find out when their OCS GO application would be available to Teleclub/Swisscom customers… Here is their response, received this morning:
Hello Mikee,
We do not have an exact date to communicate to you on the availability of OCS GO via SwissComm.
On our side, everything is in working order and it now depends on the SwissComm teams. You can contact your operator to request more information.
THANKS,
Denis, OCS Support
This provision therefore depends on Teleclub/Swisscom… More precise information from them would be welcome 😉
aaaah SwissComm
Hello @mikee,
I’m certainly not going to fully delight you with my answer, but after inquiring, I can only tell you that the OCS application should be available to Swisscom customers in the coming months. Unfortunately, I don’t have anything more specific that I can communicate to you. I hope a good surprise will arrive quickly 🙂!
Beautiful evening
Thank you for your honesty @NathalieSI
Indeed we hope to have a good surprise quickly.
And yes, I am disappointed to read this because this lack is clearly a minus for these channels and for the Premium bouquet. Especially after reading the response from OCS which states that everything is ready on their side 😕
Have a nice evening to you too.
Good morning,
I’m quite happy with these OCS channels despite the absence of recording/replay for the moment but on the other hand it’s really a shame that we can’t activate the subtitles. I’m taking the example of episodes of Game or Thrones, there is a choice between the French version and the original English version but no choice for subtitles. 😞
So yes I took the premium bouquet this weekend to take advantage of the sports pack as a gift (which I already had before, I hope it will work because nothing indicated otherwise), tempted by the OCS offer .
Indeed, very unpleasant surprise when clicking on the serial recording function of “Walking Dead”. Unable to register for legal reasons. So we were left with no choice either to watch a marathon of four (!!) episodes in a row last night until midnight, or to give up on seeing the series for the moment and wait for season 7 to become available on netflix. We reluctantly chose the second option.
Let’s hope that OCS Go will be available very quickly, because for the moment this premium package is of little or no use to us.
There is undoubtedly someone, at one level or another, able to tell us when OCS GO will be available…!?
I imagine this is not drawn at random, like a lottery, every morning!
Very frankly, please tell us when we will be able to use OCS GO and why there is so much waiting for a service already in place and functional throughout France.
Hi @Hache2eau
I contacted OCS and published their response on this site (see previous pages), and according to OCS, from their side everything is OK
Concerning Swisscom announcements, historically, they very rarely provide information in advance.
No one will make me believe that no one at Swisscom can say or knows the why, how and when. It wouldn’t be very serious 😕
