Enabling Swisscom dynamic DNS Problems on Swisscom routers

Dear all

I wanted to activate Swisscom’s dynamic DNS service on my Swisscom router. However, when I check the box, I cannot enter a name (the field remains gray). If I delete the (empty) field with the trash, I can capture a name. However, when saving, an error message appears (connection problem with Internet Box, etc.). But since I have access, it’s probably not the connection that’s the problem?

Does anyone have a solution?

Thank you!

Question: Are you on the PC where you want to set this up via the IB’s GUI but are already locally on the IB’s LAN/WLAN?

By the way, the field remains gray for me, but I can still write in it.

Anyway, a factory reset of the IB might also help.

I went into the router via the customer center on the Swisscom website. Unfortunately, the gray fields cannot be overwritten. I’ve already restarted, but unfortunately it didn’t help?

Addendum: the error message is like this:

Internet box connection problem
It was detected as a problem with the connection or the Internet box itself. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet Box and try again.

If this does not work, please restart your Internet Box.

Then go to the GUI of the IB locally on the PC via browser. As a rule, the default IP address is 192.168.1.1 (enter this in the browser line).

On the WEB interface you then have to switch to expert mode and then click the “Applications” button.

Nothing against the customer center, but you only have full functionality/setting options directly via IB.

As far as I know, Swisscom Dyn-DNS and VPN are only possible with the IB+.

The dyn DNS also works with the Internet Box Standard, look here:

[https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/hilfe/loesung/netzwerknachrichten.tab-internet-box-standard.html](https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/hilfe/loesung/ network settings.tab-internet-box-standard.html)

If you access the GUI of the Internet Box via Kundencenter, you will be redirected to the Internet Box on the local LAN. In the GUI of the Internet Box you are always local.

Or a VPN is used.

If the settings cannot be made in the GUI or everything stops, the following usually helps:

Restart Internet Box and computer

or

use another browser.

Dear all

Unfortunately, nothing helped - direct access via browser, restart, etc. Do I have to configure something specific for the other tabs in the router so that I can install Swisscom Dynamic DNS? Unfortunately, the Swisscom homepage does not provide any assistance.

I have a Vivo M subscription with Internet Box Plus and Swisscom TV 2.0

Thanks for your help!

I don’t deal with these topics in detail enough.

1.But could it be that you only have one CGNAT IP and the hint text does not yet exist in this build?

How does your public IP start? You can see it in the router interface.

2. Install the latest firmware if it is not already available or has not been suggested yet.
