The worst part is that to receive the case before the holidays, you have to order it no later than December 3… Is there another company that offers the same style of quality leather case?

Another weird thing, I just received an email from Microsoft to receive a free induction charger (DT-904) due to pre-ordering my Lumia 950 XL in November. So far ok but when I click on the links I arrive on a form for France?!? I hope it’s just a link error and not a communication error… Dangling something to the customer and ultimately telling him No, it’s reserved for the French… To be continued…

I’m answering myself but since Norêve doesn’t seem willing to provide its leather case for our Lumia 950 XL before Christmas, I turned to the brand [TeTDeD](http://www.tetded.com/home /en/347-lumia-950-xl) which also seems to have quality leather for our XL and especially stock in different colors…

FYI, I ordered the free dockstation from the phone app Monday evening and I received it this morning by UPS… Cool, right? On this one, I give Microsoft 10 out of 10!

Same, I received it by UPS yesterday morning from Microsoft Store as promised. In this 2 days after validating the offer. Very fast

@XE one of my colleagues did the same and it happened very quickly too. Only this offer is only valid for the 950XL… I have the 950 and no offer in sight.

Have you noticed that the office suite is only available in read-only mode? You will need to get a subscription to be able to modify your documents…

Looking forward to this weekend’s update (insider 10586.17) because I think that currently the 950 XL is not working to its full potential.

The offer is only for the XL, we find the dt-904 for 57 frs but not yet released.

Is there a way to unlock the sim card for MMS?

My wife’s 950 cannot send MMS and when it receives them, she has to send an email to see the said message.

My 950 no problem, if I put my sim card in his phone, no problem, everything works.

I tried to program the SMS as indicated for a 930 laptop, but nothing worked.

Other ideas, before I call swisscom?

For office, this was already the case for my 1020, after an update.

@XE 10586.17 is intended for insiders. The 950/950XL are not yet compatible with the insider program.
On the other hand, like you, I have the feeling that the build on the 950 is not at the same level as the latest insider builds. I hope to have the latest release soon.

Some say the dock offer is to compensate for a year’s subscription to Office.

Doubly ugly… I ordered in France to be entitled to the free charger and the 25€ for applications on the store. Still haven’t received the smartphone and I probably won’t be able to qualify for the insider offer since shipping is planned after December 6… Played… lost… yes abo 365 too so no problem for me.

Have you checked that on your wife’s phone, mobile data is activated because SMS does not work over Wifi but only over 3G/4G and normally all mobiles are preconfigured.

If it really doesn’t work, you have to call Swisscom so they can activate MMS for you.

For MMS, there is a thing with Windows Phone. If you don’t have a DATA connection for your wife’s SIM, you may need to activate an option in the Windows Phone SIM or Message settings to allow MMS downloads.

My father had this problem on Windows Phone 8. Currently on my 950 I don’t see a similar option. Try to check in the SIM settings if you have active data and if you have the “Allow MMS download” option. There is an “update SIM data” button in the 950’s SIM card options. Perhaps it would help to do a manual update.

Thank you for your answers. So data works correctly, because you can surf with 4G. Update the settings, the 2 laptops are programmed identically….. I will go to a Swisscom Shop in the hope that it can do just that. The SIM card is new…

So for Mrs.'s cell phone it’s all good, she went to the swiscom shop in Vevey, and after waiting 30 minutes left. The person who takes care of registering the request for support was too busy being flirted with than working! Deplorable, it’s not the first time in this shop..

I called the hotline, apart from 2 minutes of waiting, correct, the case was resolved in 2-3 operations, good service from them. A few things were not activated on the sim card, could not have resolved without contacting Swisscom.

I’m getting used to this Windows 10, which pushed me to install this OS on the 925 and the 2 1020s, just waiting for my PC to be updated….

FYI Windos Insider has been available since yesterday for 950/XL owners. This gives you the option to upgrade to version 10586.29. Version which can only be better than the version delivered with the phone. What I don’t understand is that Win 10 was “officially” released with the launch of the 950 but you still have to go through beta updates… But hey… I haven’t done a lot of tests but There are still some persistent bugs like certain old apps (legacy from Win 8.1) which appear twice and do not work… Let’s see if the battery now holds a correct charge. I hope that we will have the right, before the holidays, to a definitive and 100% functional version (dreams are allowed…)

Oh yes I forgot, to obtain this 10586.29 you have to go through a hard reset of the device… Why? Good question… It seems that WIndows Insider is not 100% compatible with phones. 100% Win 10 compatible… So if you have ebanking apps… You have to redo everything…

Well then I’m going to wait for the official update for the 950…. Update 10586.29 should already be available for all insiders. Because out of 2 1020s and a 925, I only had one updated laptop…

In fact it’s not just the Insiders, it’s all the 950s (and XLs).
On the other hand, yes problem to be entitled to this update. By going through a reset, we can get the update.

Since this reset I have 3-4 dual apps that no longer open… One with the correct icon and the other a blue square. When I try to launch with the correct icon, I end up on the store… I tried to uninstall these apps and it’s only possible from the storage tab but it only removes the correct app. other icon remains and returns to the store indicating that the app is installed… For the moment, I’m dry…
