Personally yesterday I had the update on my 950 everything ok, on my wife’s it blocked the phone. Had to reset it and now full of blank blue app icons that I can’t delete.
In addition, it returns to the home page without touching anything. Ex: want to choose a sound for SMS, open the pane to scroll through the sounds and without touching it 2 seconds later close the page. Hopefully an update will resolve these issues or this laptop will return to its box.

Once again we come back to the point of waiting for an update… It’s really disappointing to have a new “high-end” device just out of the box which is not completely functional… It’s like the guy who buys a Ferrari and who notices after driving 10 minutes that the 6th gear is not installed… Impossible right? I don’t want to discourage anyone because I am convinced of the potential of this operating system but I must say that if I had to advise the purchase of this mobile to someone who is not a geek, I would give up (for the moment ). I was all fired up when I bought it 2 weeks ago but now I realize that the latest version (10586.29) does not fix enough bugs to make this mobile accessible to ordinary mortals…

@XE Well that’s the problem with buying these phones when they come out, the bugs at the start. But you understand, think the same thing. Besides, I still have my 1020 in use….. Because I’m not entirely satisfied with the 950.
The 1020 since it is under Win 10, works better….. since Nokia resold the rights to BMW, Audi and Mercedes here drive is no longer available under windowsphone, gone under android, and for me, it’s is a loss.
THEVENINJEREMY I tried from the storage assistant and at the time it worked moderately since I didn’t have any more that the blue square of the app (Hill Climb, for example) and that the store indicated to me that the app was already installed… By trying again now by pressing this “magic” blue square this time the store suggested I reinstall the app and I finally lost a blue square… I only have 3 left…
Dock continuum received yesterday.
Good point for the size, it’s small, perfect for the mobile side. On the other hand, having to power it (= an extra charger in the suitcase) connect it to the phone and TV (2 cables) without killing this mobility aspect a little.
Direct dock update. A few seconds later it is up to date and functional.

I didn’t have a keyboard or mouse available so my experience was limited. The 950XL becomes a trackpad. good reaction. On the other hand, a virtual keyboard is supposed to open on the laptop when necessary, but for me it’s a bug. For example in edge, if I want to enter a web address, I don’t have the keyboard. just like in word or excel, the keyboard only appears when I want to change the font size.
I haven’t tested playing YouTube videos or others.
conclusion: nice first impression. To be seen in use if universal applications develop.
A quick question at 5.-. On the Win 10 start screen, can you put one icon at the top and another at the bottom without any other icons between the two? It’s impossible for me to be able to have an icon at the very bottom, I have to put one on each line of the screen otherwise the icon automatically goes up just below the last icon. Anyone have a solution?
