It’s a shame that Swisscom doesn’t communicate better regarding packages, features, updates, etc. about iO.

In my opinion, at the beginning of the app there was a relatively large divergence between iO’s initial marketing efforts and the service and app quality.
Now, unfortunately, I see the opposite. An update and new features are coming, the additional packages have been released. But where is the promotion to bring OK into the minds of customers, i.e. to consolidate it there in the long term? Especially after the initial difficulties, I consider this to be even more important.

Well, package availability can be found on the io website under News, but what about Facebook, Twitter, the Swisscom website, etc.?

I still believe that iO has great potential, so please give it your all and take advantage of it! 😃

@all:

The iO packages have recently been available online.

This means you can make unlimited calls to Swiss mobile and landline networks and send SMS to all your worldwide contacts who don’t yet have iO.

You can also make unlimited international calls to numbers in Europe, the USA and Canada.

ATTENTION: if you buy an iO package it can take a maximum of 24 hours until your iO client is activated.

The io has a good approach! The following points still need to be optimized: Link contacts with the same number so that they only appear once (phone, SIM,…) Make invitations personal, otherwise they are seen as advertising. Synchronize contacts so that not every contact has to be asked about their io connection. When will the update announced for this week appear?

I bought the plus Switzerland package. The activation worked perfectly after a few hours.

However, I would be interested to know whether there is a way to explicitly call an OK contact via the telephone network (incoming)? Or how does the system behave if an OK contact cannot be reached via the data network (for a long period of time). In this case, does the call go “empty” or is there a fallback functionality?

iO contacts do not have their own phone number, as the account is linked to the phone number of the mobile phone.

If the user is not online, iO will call via the normal mobile phone network if the appropriate subscription is stored.

Making phone calls works, but what about sending text messages? In my experiments, the SMS only arrives for IO users when there is a data connection. Users who have uninstalled the IO app no longer receive SMS messages at all. Can I make any settings?

Despite the new IO app update, the app still crashes after a few seconds on my Intel Android. Conclusion: App update - not fulfilled…

….keep on rockin' 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Not even registering with “My iO” works 😞 when I get in, I’m thrown out again after a short time. It doesn’t even last until the birthday date. Hey now.. it’s no use using the messenger or after 3 Monet no nid 😞

So, the Swisscom app for Android was updated today (version 1.1.0.1309121205).

Unfortunately the contacts are now duplicated…

@Dani: Can you please tell me via private message or on [frank.fitzlaff@swisscom.com](mailto:frank.fitzlaff@swisscom.com) which Android device with which OS version you are using?

@all: Are there any other users who have doubled their contacts since the update? thanks for feedback

Thanks

Frank

Thank you for the quick reply. Is there already a time horizon? A tricky question, I know… 🙂

As soon as a certain date is known we will communicate it. We’re staying tuned:smileyhappy:
