Hi,
New to the community and to myCloud.
Can myCloud replace iCloud on iOS devices (iPhone & iPad)? What I mean is the following:
- Directly backing up the iPhone into myCloud instead of iCloud
- Full integration of myCloud with iPhotos.
I assume this is too much an ask so wonder what are the compromises and workarounds?
Thanks.
But keep in Mind: Always store your important photos and data on a second or third instance. For example multiple logical hard drives.
Hello @Ziveuvio41 @DomiP
According to the myCloud Team, this is an error in the application. However, the patch is ready and will be rolled out in the next release.
In the meantime, you will find below a workaround to save your files until then:
- Press "Save to Files" instead of the myCloud icon.
- Select "myCloud" and the desired subfolder and press "Save".
If myCloud does not appear under "Save to Files", first open the iOS app "Files", open the drop-down menu at the top right (three dots) and then select the list entry "Edit". Now you can activate myCloud and save the files using the above procedure.
Hope it helps!
