Since yesterday evening I suddenly can no longer connect to the IB2’s 5GHz WiFi. I’ve tried various things: Settings with and without a password, different distances to the IB2, resetting to factory settings, different devices (laptop, smartphone), etc. Everything fails. The name of the network is displayed, but a connection cannot be established. What could be the reason for this?
The work would then have to take more than 3 months. I have long suspected that the problem most likely lies in the headquarters. The hotline has already mentioned this. But just: the technicians haven’t found anything in my case for weeks or at least haven’t contacted me anymore. (My ticket has been closed at least once without consultation.)
At the moment I don’t see any downloads over 400 kByte/s from any server.
Yesterday evening at 8:30 p.m. I compared directly between two VDSL connections via screen sharing: my Anschluss 190 kByte/s, the other Anschluss constant 2600 kByte/s. New lows are being reached every day this week.:smileysad:
For me the fluctuations are becoming more and more extreme. In the evening from 6 p.m. it fluctuates between 3 and 50 Mbit/s with a 55 profile. This information comes from the official Bluewin speed test and can also be consecutive tests within a few seconds. The perceived or displayed speed of “real” downloads is usually extremely poor: 200 to 300 kByte/s.

Most prominent of course: [mirror.switch.ch](http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/software/mirror/debian-cd/7.1.0/amd64/iso-cd/debian-7.1.0-amd64- netinst.iso). But it can also be traced with [ftp1.bluewin.ch](ftp://ftp1.bluewin.ch/software/mobile/UDM_10-0-0_21168_AllDevices.exe), software downloads from Microsoft or Adobe (i.e. Akamai), or e.g. any one Podcast. Currently my rate is a little over 1 Mbyte/s. Experience shows that things now go further down.
I know that there are VDSL connections where this is not understandable. The most annoying thing for me are the speed problems with screen sharing that I use regularly and which start to stutter.
I’ve been observing slow downloads for more than two months. Regularly in the evenings from 7 p.m. with a low point around 10 p.m. and on weekends from midday. Last night, for example, downloads reached just around 400 kbyte/s on all servers in Switzerland that I tried and where full performance is achieved without any problems (55,000 line and Vivo Casa 5*).
The interesting thing is that if you start several downloads in parallel (even from the same server), then the download values add up. And that’s apparently what the Bluewin speed test does. It uses 4 parallel TCP connections, which results in correspondingly higher values. In my case yesterday around 20,000 kbit/s but with massive fluctuations.
I have now had a support case pending on the hotline for four weeks. My leadership shall be without blemish. A technician at my house didn’t find a problem either. Unfortunately there is no progress.

Although I have an Infinity M subscription, I still cannot call Swiss numbers. Do you have to wait for an activation?
This should work without any further action on your part.
Can you please send me your mobile number to [frank.fitzlaff@swisscom.com](mailto:frank.fitzlaff@swisscom.com)? Then we can check it.
Thank you & kind regards
Frank
Thank you very much. Works now.
